What foods do you really hate and couldn't eat even out of politness if given at a dinner party?

For me it would be prawns, beetroot or anything flavoured with honey.

My SIL is super, super, super fussy and her husband is a vegetarian who only eats dairy and omlettes (doesn't actually eat veges) and there's no politeness when they come for tea

most offal, only would eat sweetbreads
aubergines, brussel sprouts, marrow,
sauce Hollandaise and eel

Runny egg white - can't even think about it without heaving.
Anything made with milk with skin on - bleeeuuuurghhh.
These are the only things I don't like though.

Am astonished at how fussy some people are, this is amazing!

I'd turn down testicles, eyes, brains, etc, and possibly foie gras (but the latter only on principle and I don't know anyone who would serve it anyway.)

Am amazed by how mnay people are turning down perfectly normal veggies. I don't like celery but could manage if real politeness was called for.

Nooooo, cooked celery is the devil's work. I could manage raw celery if needs be but the cooked stuff goes beyond the call of duty.

I also hate any drinks with a bitter taste, like Campari. It's like drinking earwax. Ugh!

Marmite - although hopefully not likely to be served at a dinner party - I just couldn't hide the wretching!

Most shellfish, bananas, liver, sweetbreads and tripe.

and oysters- they look like phlegm.

Vanilla, coffee-flavoured anything. I detest both flavours.

All the gross animal bits people have mentioned earlier (although strangely enough, I would give stuff like ants, haggis and worms a go).

Not sure I could manage things like mussels or oysters.

Pretty much ok with anything else tho.

I don't like offal but tbh I have had it ingrained in me from childhood to eat whatever I am given,so I couldn't turn away anything at a dinner party .
