What to serve with gammon as a main meal

i have a large piece of gammon I want to use but don’t want it cold or with chips. Serving hot would need some sort of sauce. Any ideas please?

Cheese sauce or leek sauce with mash

That's the food of my childhood. We had it with champ and parsley sauce. (There was probably other veg available but I was a fussy child who wouldn't touch colour.)

I serve it with cheesy leeks topped with mash. So basically diced leeks, pour over a white or cheese sauce, top with mash and bake.

Caulicheese is the law in our house with gammon

cauliflower or macaroni cheese with cavalo nero

I’d do it like a BBQ pulled pork, I use gammon!
serve with a savoury rice or on top of nachos

Green lentils stewed with red onion and mushrooms

Slimming world have a gorgeous BBQ pulled gammon recipe. I do it with mash/jacket potatoes.

Cauliflower cheese, a green steamed veg. Homemade potato wedges.

Either Dauphinois potatoes and buttery veg or cauliflower cheese.

Dauphinoise potatoes and peas and spinach.
Anything cheesy goes well too

Definitely cauliflower cheese, and roast, jacket, new or boulangere potatoes and charred tenderstem

We have gammon with mash, cheese grated on top and sliced tomatoes on top of that. Baked in the oven for 20 mins. Along with green beans, and brocolli

Mashed potatoes or dauphinoise. Carrots, peas and cabbage.

If mash, make a white sauce to go on the side, if dauphinoise just make it extra saucy.

Mustard sauce, mash potatoes and red cabbage. Heaven with gammon.

Another vote for cauliflower cheese! With garden peas too

That's what we do for leftover Christmas gammon.
Or you could make some ham and pea soup.

Mash, cabbage, carrots, roasted onion and gravy is my go to with gammon.

A hollandais works well with tenderstem broccoli and garlic butter cubed potatoes

I do gammon every boxing day and always with cauliflower cheese, peas and cranberry sauce.

Cumberland sauce is lovely - I'd do boiled potato, green beans, roast onions

New potatoes and green beans with Parsley sauce

Cauliflower cheese, roast pots. Apple sauce and some carrots too.
