Best Sandwiches

I tried to load this before so sorry if it appears twice.
I am a sandwich lover and go through phases of loving a particuar one.
At the moment my fave is bbq chicken ( from the supermarket) chopped , sultanas, s and p, with celery, red onions and walnuts ( all diced tiny) , smothered in good egg mayo. On buttered fresh white bread.
I'm getting tired of it after a month so am after new ideas please.
I have heaps more but I've done them for a month each too.

Bacon, brie and avocado as a treat.

I also really like salami, gherkins, American mustard, cheese and salad on a bagel.

Dark rye bread, Swiss cheese, corned beef or pastrami, sauerkraut

Wow, your chicken and egg mayo with walnuts etc sounds amazing! I'd never think to try chicken and egg together!
I love grilled halloumi, feta, beetroot, red onions, lettuce, olives, cucumber, mint leaves and a smear of tarama on one side and hummus on the other! In nice crusty white bread with the middle bit scooped out. That's my sandwich of the moment! 😄

Prosciutto, mozzarella and basil in a ciabatta is my current favourite. Am going to try substituting the prosciutto for tomatoes this week. Simple but delicious

Some lovely sounding fillings here.
Currently my favourite is good thick ham, sliced tomato's seasoned with salt and pepper, fresh basil and a few slices of strong cheddar on white bread spread with butter.

Club Sandwich. Mayo. Smoked bacon. Rocket (no other leaves will do). Peppered chicken. Big fresh tomatoes (the purple ones). Sourdough.

Prawn mayo with avocado & black pepper.

Cheese, apple, and carrot, all grated and mixed together with salad cream.

My Nan used to make these, she called them Charple sandwiches. Thanks, I'd completely forgotten them. A nice memory. I always assumed it was a wartime recipe to make the cheese go further, still nice though. Especially with a bit of pepper, white for Nan, but I use black.

We are a nut free house so I use tahini alot. One of my favourites is a wrap with tahini, sliced dates and a drizzle of honey.

I also love a proper Australian style salad sandwich with white bread, finely sliced iceberg, mayo, eggs, grated carrot, sliced tomato, pineapple rings and cheddar cheese.

Chicken or turkey on seeded bread with coleslaw, stuffing, red onion and relish

A sausage and fried egg sandwich

Pesto, olive oil, tomatoes and mozzarella on foccacia

I’m boring:-

• liver pate with cucumber and large tomato slices on French baguette, or substitute pate with Brie

• cheese and pickle on soya and linseed bread (Vogel)

• egg mayo homemade with cress on bread above (Vogel) add pepper if liked

• Hummus sandwich is nice too with veggies either Mediterranean ones or fresh usual salady ones.

• cheese and cucumber homemade is a classic too.

My other favourite is (hot) pigs in blankets with cranberry sauce.
I buy pigs in blankets just for this sandwich!
It's best on white bread or in a roll.
Sometimes with a little bit of mayo too.

Yes to second one. 😋

Our Chritmas breakfast is always smoked bacon topped with sliced brie and cranberry sauce.

I went to the US last week and had a chicken tender sub from Publix. It was really filling and delicious. After I came back I saw a chicken tender cordon bleu mix which looked even better!

This is the easiest thing in the world. Small baguette halved in two lengthwise, spread with Philly cream cheese and topped with Golden Wonder Smoky Bacon crisps sort of crushed into it! Lovely!

Turkey, sliced left over pigs in blankets, roasties, parsnips, baby spinach, sliced gouda. Lush.

Otherwise brie, bacon and avocado, or steak, baby spinach, mayo and crispy onions. Baguette for both.

Turkey, avocado, beetroot and mayo. Maybe with a bit of cheese.

Or, when I was at uni, during exams, my boyfriend and I used to get a baguette, split it and put lettuce, cheddar cheese, chicken, tomato, ham and Wesleydale in.
