I want someone on here to enter masterchef. I think it would be excellent fun to follow a contestant and we could all row constantly help out with the recipes. Go on someone must harbour a secret desire to.

OOoh I would love too! But I live too far away at the moment! Don't you want to go on then?

Carmenere · 11/02/2008 10:44

I can't as I used to be a chef but there are loads of really, really good cooks on here who could easily get on. Where do you live McDreamy?

RubySlippers · 11/02/2008 10:59

i would love to do it (mainly so i can meet Gregg ) but i KNOW i would fall apart in the pro kitchen

i couldn't shame myself like that on TV

Carmenere · 11/02/2008 10:59

But we could coach you Rubes, go on, do it, you know you want to

ROFL ... everytime it is on, DH and I have the same conversation

me: "I would love to do it"

DH: "you wouldn't last a second in the pro kitchen - you would be crying into a tea towel within 30 seconds"

will have a look at the link tho' ...

Carmenere · 11/02/2008 11:05

I will find you a professional kitchen to practice in beforehand if you get through. and don't mind your dh, he is just jealous.

Me me me!!!

I cold make Cod's prawn curry (the best in Wessex) and then lemon drizzle cake.

Carmenere · 11/02/2008 13:47

Bump, please someone do it??

OP posts:
Carmenere · 11/02/2008 13:51

ideally there should be a few different entrants and then we could have a really good chance of making it onto the telly

OP posts:
WelliesAndPyjamas · 11/02/2008 13:51

brilliant idea

Carmenere · 11/02/2008 13:52

It is a good idea isn't it? It would be such fun.

And our entrant could wear a mn tshirt. I suppose it would have to be someone who didn't mind being outed though.

OP posts:
Carmenere · 11/02/2008 13:53

Perhaps not you then lapin

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 11/02/2008 13:55

I couldn't do it (unless there's a call for peanut butter sandwiches in posh restaurants?), but I think it's a fab idea!

Why not you, Carmenere? Or are you too professional?

Carmenere · 11/02/2008 13:57

I can't, I've been to chef school.

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 11/02/2008 14:07

I would love to

But would fail dismally at the posh ingredients bit.

Perhaps they should do an MN special? Six of us at the beginning whittled down to an MN champion?

DualCycloneCod · 11/02/2008 14:37

has anyone considered ( as i have)

which of them woudl eb betetr in bed

MamaG · 11/02/2008 14:38

DualCycloneCod · 11/02/2008 14:38

MamaG · 11/02/2008 14:41

you know, the way he eats is VERY intersting have you noticed?

He puts the fork in his mouth, closes his mouth over it and veeery sloooowly pulls the fork out...the big tease

MamaG · 11/02/2008 14:42

coudln't do him though, it wo uld be like having a giant penis with a penis

hunkermunker · 11/02/2008 14:43

John Torode is a most odious man.

DH is particularly repelled by him.

We POSL wondering whether they're really at opposite ends of the room when they discuss things, the great big foghorns.
