Their mistake - they should sort it pronto! Plus a big bunch of flowers for your stress.

brusselbeansprouts · 24/12/2007 10:33

That's really poor on their part. Have you phoned them? What did they say?

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 24/12/2007 10:34

Ring em and shout!!! then head for local butchers/supermarket.....good luck.

Myrrhcy · 24/12/2007 10:35

chocolateteapot · 24/12/2007 10:35

Ring customer services

They once let me down with an order for lots of stuff for a party and they offered to pay for caterers!

What a NIGHTMARE

VeVacuaMerryChristmas · 24/12/2007 10:36

waitrose cancelled all their organic turkeys, you should have been offered a voucher? ages ago.

brusselbeansprouts · 24/12/2007 10:37

They need to compensate you in some way. I mean, not delivering a turkey on Christmas Eve - does service get any worse?!!

WendyWeber · 24/12/2007 10:39

They'll be half-price this afternoon...

NAB3hundredbaubles · 24/12/2007 10:50

Waitrose announced a while ago that they would not be selling turkeys and were going to give everyone a refund plus £10.

VeVacuaMerryChristmas · 24/12/2007 10:51

with most people donating the £10 to redgrave farm innit

ggirlsbells · 24/12/2007 10:56

when we went in to order ours several weeks ago the organic ones were crossed off the list of options. They should have notified you or offered a substitution though.
