No-one has told me what to do with the milk yet

AitchTwoOh · 13/11/2007 00:10

i thought the milk was for veal. some people do put veal in ragu. ask cali, she's nearly italian. baths her babies in passata, so she does.

Thanks - will look next time I go food shopping.

quattro- add milk after the wine has all been absorbed. Add milk and cook on highish heat until all absorbed. Then add tomatoes and cook for a couple of hours on very low heat. Make sure there are no lumps in the meat.

AitchTwoOh · 13/11/2007 09:46

oh no, i particularly like lumps in my spag blog.

tinned toms take 2 hours to cook?

I'm doing something wrong there then. Maybe I should be buying passata

francagoestohollywood · 13/11/2007 18:14

no you are not pointy. I'm just being all italian and a bit anal with the tinned tomatoes (the rule should be that the more they cook the better, but half an hour-45 mins should be enough)
