Gusto boxes

Just started the gusto boxes. Would anyone like to swap recipe choices? / hints?

I’m cooking the prawn farfalle today - about to serve it for lunch but baffled the online recipe and physical recipe card don’t match. One says rocket one says pea shoots - I assume that’s a sub but weird that it’s the physical version that’s correct!

Has anyone else made this one? Or have any tips on choosing gusto meals?

We had sticky ginger and chilli beef with noodles tonight and it was lovely Smile and so quick to cook. Will try that again

DD didn't think she liked gnocci but we had a meal in which they were fried, making them crispy rather than boiled and now she really likes them.

We had the spicy chicken wholemeal rolls tonight. Really easy to do and very tasty.

Oh I have had the Normandy casserole before and enjoyed it. I nearly went for it again but decided to try something different so went for the Cajun chicken sandwich with garlic mayonnaise. It was delicious!

They were lovely. You covered chicken breasts in Cajun spices and cooked them. Then whipped up a lovely garlic and spring onion mayonnaise, heat up whole meal rolls and put the chicken, lettuce and Mayo in the rolls. It was kind of like a burger really.
You serve with lovely little herby roast potatoes.

Ahhh I wanted this fortnight’s box for that chicken recipe! My dcs are not around to have dinners much this week, so it wasn’t worth my ordering a box. I’ve got one coming next week but the chicken was off the next fortnight’s dishes. Another one I might try by myself!

I have to say, Gousto are very generous to give the recipes. They seem a kind and agreeable company!

Can’t wait for my next box. I love matching the ingredients with the recipes!

The Cajun chicken rolls were lovely. I would definitely get them again.

I have changed my recipes again for my next box so that I can try the aubergine curry before they stop it.

We've just tried this for the first time as my brother have me the chance for a discount. The Indian shepherds pie was delicious, so was the prawn farfelle. Also loved the burger with rosemary fries (the dog wanted that). Sadly due to the over packaging we won't be using it again, but it works for my brother - he's very busy so it helps a lot.

Tonight I’m making the chickpea, butternut squash and apricot tagine. I’ve followed the recipe so far but the butternut squash is still really hard. I think they will need about another 20 mins on the hob.

But the mild paneer curry was a big success, the kids even ate it.

Katsu chicken tasted nice but was not a quick and easy option!! Took so many pans and dishes to make and needed constant attention, not what I needed after a long day! Also got to the end and didn't have olive oil for the dressing so had to use rape seed oil Hmm

I wish they'd write on the app how many pots n bowls you need. At home it's just me and DD so we don't have lots of bowls n pans. Plus I have a super tiny kitchen with very little worktop space and honestly sometimes it gets so stressful. Still remember those bloody stupid Gousto pizzas!!

I nearly went for the Katsu curry. Glad I didn’t now!
I see that the pizzas are on the menu for the week after next. Are they another to be avoided?

The pizza were a total PITA to make and weren't worth the effort. Also cooking then in a pan just doesn't work... maybe they've taken people's feedback on board and tweaked them?!
