Gusto boxes

Just started the gusto boxes. Would anyone like to swap recipe choices? / hints?

I’m cooking the prawn farfalle today - about to serve it for lunch but baffled the online recipe and physical recipe card don’t match. One says rocket one says pea shoots - I assume that’s a sub but weird that it’s the physical version that’s correct!

Has anyone else made this one? Or have any tips on choosing gusto meals?

Has anyone tried the one pot beef stroganoff before? I was torn between that and the crispy chilli beef noodles

I think the recipes look good too!
Im going for cauliflower pathia, oven baked feta tomato & tenderstem farfelle, halloumi salad & the scott & wilsons squash gnocchi .... i think! I tend to change my mind as i go!!

Ive had the mushroom stroganoff before, it was lovely but strangely was with pasta, i prefer rice!

Good choices, Steathlynamechange! I was tempted by the farfelle too - it looks nice. I love halloumi so could be tempted into the salad too. I usually change my mind several times before the cut off date too!

I usually have stroganoff with rice too. Was it a bit strange with pasta?

I know what you mean. I really fancied the Indonesian prawn broth with coconut rice but neither of my boys will eat prawns!

Has anyone tried any of the cookstarter meals yet?

I’ve got one this week - the aubergine and ginger Chili stir fry Noya’s kitchen. I’m looking forward for it!

We had the Cookstarter squash and mushroom gnocchi. It was nicer than it looked!

Argh I wanted to order the current recipes for a box for half term (end of month) but they’ve changed them! Does anyone know how often they change? Could prob find this out somewhere...

I really wanted to try the Turkish (?) lamb pilau thing. They rarely have lamb so I fancied that, and maybe the chicken mayo sandwich thing for DS. Not inspired much by the “summer is here” range but I will take a closer look.

The boxes are ideal for keeping us fed through half terms and I can always freeze single portions... love it!

The recipes change at around midday every Tuesday.
You can still order for next week (this is the week that the chicken sandwich is available as we have ordered it) if you select a date up until next Friday. The summer menu starts Saturday 22nd.

That’s helpful to know, thanks! I keep meaning to look at the cut off day.

I don’t need my next box until the 28th ish so will have to miss the chicken sandwich, but have had a closer look & there are some other tasty looking things on there! Will bear in mind for when it comes back!

We had it with pasta, it worked surprisingly well.

Thanks for that. I have just swapped the sticky chilli beef coriander noodles (thought they may be too similar to the sweet chilli chicken dish) for the beef stroganoff

I wasn't sure about the sticky chilli beef noodles either but we are giving them a go, I'll report back.
