What's the most reprehensible thing you've ever put on a sandwich - indefensible guilt pleasures please....

Curried potato salad on a little baguette style bread roll.

My uncle is guilty of steak pie sandwiches. (Bleugh to that one personally, but each to his own....)

Yellow American mustard on white sliced bread. Yum. I discovered this when I was very pg and too tired to go to the shops but I still occasionally have it as a snack. I do love that plasticky mustard.

Any sort of casseroled gunk on toast.

Not really reprehensible but an appropriate place to share...
Make a slit in a pitta bread, put in a bit of butter (the saltier, the better) pack the pitta with sliced banana, insert into toaster til the pitta goes nice and crispy - lovely!

Oh and I love banana sandwiches but only on white bread. And banana on toast.

Basically, banana+bread is good!

McEdam · 02/09/2007 22:56

Supernoodles. And hula hoops. (Not at the same time, that would be plain wrong.)

suzi2 · 02/09/2007 22:59

I love any sort of crisps. Or condensed milk on a white bread sarnie. Or a sausage roll on a roll. Or tattie (potato) fritter butties.

purpleflower · 02/09/2007 23:10

White bread and chunky pickle...yum.

Now I want it but ive not got any pickle

Jenkeywoo · 02/09/2007 23:16

steak and kidney pudding in white bread with butter and ketchup.

Pate with blackcurrant jam

tuna, grated cheese and marmelade in between two bits of toast, then microwaved.

puffling · 02/09/2007 23:18

My sister puts marmite and jam on toast and mixes it all up. She says its cos she wants both.

puffling · 02/09/2007 23:20

As a child I had sugar, Stork and Hovis sandwiches at my dads. I also had baked beans, peas and tinned tomatos all mixed up.
Now, I always have marmite and peanut butter on toast. The saltiness of the marmite is a fine counterpoint to the unctuousness of the Pnut butter.

chipmonkey · 02/09/2007 23:54

Anyone else Irish here? Tayto and jam sandwiches!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 02/09/2007 23:57

chocolate spread

DH likes honey and peanut butter

Creme de cassis mustard with a few cloves of chopped garlic on toasted white bread.

Fhen Fluff, that marshmallow spread, was about I used to have it with peanut butter. What ever happened to fluff?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/09/2007 12:53

oh banana sandwiches (on brown only though) are fabulous.

As are lemon curd (not so unusual).

DD once asked me for a cream cheese and grated carrot sandwich once - it was blardy lovely

MamaGrumpy · 03/09/2007 12:54

pot noodle

serenity · 03/09/2007 13:05

Microwaved banana/brown sugar/butter sandwiches

Toasted cheese and jam or mango chutney is lovely (DCs often have jam'n'white (Phillie))

Peanut butter and raspberry jam is nice, but I still have to use butter, and nowdays I also have to sprinkle extra salt on because they've reduced it too much

Whatever Dh has in his sandwiches it always has to be with mustard, mayo and raw onion

Not reprehensible, but not very healthy - pitta or sandwiches with IKEA meatballs, tomato sauce and grated cheese.

Botbot · 03/09/2007 13:14

I eat hot buttered toast with worcester sauce sprinkled on it, if that counts as reprehensible. Mmmmm.

cornsilk · 03/09/2007 13:16

mashed potato left over from tea time once when I was very drunk and just needed to EAT!!!

MrsPuddleduck · 03/09/2007 13:19

mawbroon · 03/09/2007 13:48

DH is half dutch. I quickly learned that the dutch will put anything on a sandwich. Strawberries were the biggest surprise to me, but actually it is quite delicious. None of the things on this thread surprise me at all, and my favourite is a potato waffle, loads of butter and ketchup all on a roll.
Yum yum yum

Iklboo · 03/09/2007 13:49

Salmon paste & pickled onion
Dairylea & tomato ketchup

Shoshable · 03/09/2007 14:03
