I've thought of another. Sainsburys did some purple carrots a couple of months back. Ponce in a bag, if ever I saw it.

Mercy · 31/07/2007 13:24

Do you mean mooli? (which is nothing like a parsnip)

Or is mouli so poncey that I've never even heard of it?

I like okra and have had samphire too - picked it myself actually!

MrsBadger · 31/07/2007 13:27

I assumed she meant mool (big white radish things), which are not poncey, just ethnic...

Whooosh · 31/07/2007 13:27

Mooli is lovely.
Okra-Yeuch!

Samphire with hollandaise-I would happily have that as my last meal-am very, very Treacletart.

MariaVonTrapp · 31/07/2007 19:03

Oooh Mercy, hark at you, picking your own samphire and everything!! ponce alert

Yes I did mean mooli, think I must have got mixed up with the AK grinder thing after all

MaryAnnSingleton · 31/07/2007 19:04

Have any of you vegetable ponces been to Whole Foods Market in Kensington? They had things I had never heard of before (wild asparagus anyone?) mushrooms I'd never seen, about a squillion different types of tomatoes.... worth a visit just to look even if you don't want to buy....

MaryAnnSingleton · 31/07/2007 19:07

can you make your own peanut butter there ?

FrogPrincess · 31/07/2007 19:09

mmm
tiny fried artichokes in spring in Venice
ponce tastic
had fried courgette flowers last week-end, yum

[must stop liking fried veg]

KTeePee · 31/07/2007 19:18
