Lots of thinly sliced onion and tomato marinated in balsamic vinegar on wholemeal bread spread with olive tapenade. A little bizarre and very healthy.

Port salut and butter on v. white bread. Not bizarre at all, but terribly bad for you.

Salty chip butty with nutella. Shamefully bizarre

roast chicken with leftover breadsauce and cranberry....delicious, but only really do it with turkey post Xmas these days- far too fattening!

Stuffing is also very good in sarnies, especially with cold sausages!!

moljam · 23/07/2007 16:10

mostly either peanut butter or marmite but also strawberry jam and banana

paulaplumpbottom · 23/07/2007 19:13

roasted red pepper cream cheese and pesto

Strawberry jam and cheese sarnies are ace. But the same combo is even better on toast. My dad swears by edam for the cheese, I say a mature (but not overly so) cheddar.
