so for those of us who don't grow our own veg we'll be trawling through the spuds in morrisons looking for soemthing that looks like the queen?

SlightlyMadStroppyCakeMaker · 25/06/2007 14:15

Ooooo whatabout potato/veg carving???

purplemonkeydishwasher · 25/06/2007 14:16

i LIKE that SMS!!

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 14:16

What else grows quick, and in a pot?

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 14:17

lol, veg carving. Not a commonly seen class in the village show.

ChippyMinton · 25/06/2007 14:29

Slubber did you just say cress comp on misdee's thread? I am sooo going to win that one

OP posts:
Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 14:31

Well it's an idea. Could be remarkably silly. Could get the DC involved. Healthy and edible end product. Would boost flagging cress seed sales.

It's win-win-win-win all the way!

Peachy · 25/06/2007 15:59

Nah you all know how wonderful and deserving my kids are despite their personal difficulties etc etc etc (cue violins)

( NB Actually the only one in with a shout is the only NT one before you all hit me!!!! }

LOL

FrannyandZooey · 25/06/2007 16:30

I think I can definitely make a salad exciting

[huff]

and we should absolutely do best sunflower

I quite liked best plate of sandwiches as well

tigi · 25/06/2007 17:18

quietly peeps round door..... - 'what about a vase of garden flowers for the next one?'
closes door quiettly, and carries on judging (been at it all day, with the help of Tigiwinkle juniors as well)

FrannyandZooey · 25/06/2007 17:22

[panic]

I haven't GOT any flowers yet, give me till August for that one

MrsFish · 25/06/2007 17:29

What flowers I did have have been ruined by these storms

FrannyandZooey · 25/06/2007 17:31

[damn why didn't I think of that emoticon]

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 18:28

In favour of cress

just look at its astonishing nutritional values

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 18:30

and what child doesn't love a cress head?

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 18:32

Look how beautiful and versitile it can be.

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 18:33

Do you really want me to keep going?

SlightlyMadStroppyCakeMaker · 25/06/2007 18:34

Nah - you keep going...you'll have a GCSE in MN links at this rate

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 18:34

Look it even has a centre of research

SlightlyMadStroppyCakeMaker · 25/06/2007 18:36

Actually I do know someone that does proper scientific research on cress....

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 18:36

And a seperate project

Daemara · 25/06/2007 18:36

Bit of a hard sell I think. Personally I'd rather eat grass than cress.

Peachy · 25/06/2007 18:36

Well at least with cress we could all take part, we nedn't have been blessed with a garden, wanting to plant six months ago and also (my issue) not is possession of a psychotic neighbour who chooses to build brieze block extgensions over their flower beds when theya re away (yes, the landlord is dealing LOL)

Whrn do we get the garden in a tea tray please? That was always my fave (hey look, i come from Somerset- I know these things)

I do great jam and chutneys too from my own garden, but they don't photograph well sadly.

Slubberdegullion · 25/06/2007 18:36

link please Oh stroppy one.

SlightlyMadStroppyCakeMaker · 25/06/2007 18:37
