Chicken, ham and asparagus pie.

chicaguapa · 11/06/2007 18:53

I freeze it in gravy and then warm it through in the oven whilst roasting some potatoes. It's another easy roast chicken dinner.

Curry. With pasta, mayonnaise and herbs. In a sandwich with bacon, lettuce and toms and lovely bread. In a salad with spinach, crispy bacon/pancetta, avocado and a sherry vinegar vinegrette.

Macdog · 11/06/2007 18:58

I usually get some Hoi Sin dipping sauce, shred some spring onions, and dh and I do tortilla wraps with loads of salad

Sunshinemummy · 11/06/2007 18:59

Shredded into noodles with ginger, chillies and spring onions.
Never a problem dealing with it chez Moondog.

But apart from the sandwiches and salads nearly every idea on here it to reheat it - be it curry, risotto, pie whatever.

Sunshinemummy · 12/06/2007 09:22

Delia says you can reheat it so I'd believe her. Her chicken/turkey curry receipe is:

In a casserole heat oil and soften a chopped onion for 5 mins, then add 2 chopped celery stalks and 1 green pepper. Next add the chicken pieces and toss.

Now stir in 1 heaped tblsp plain flour, 1 rounded tsp curry powder, 1 level tsp ground ginger, 1 level tsp turmeric, 1 clove garlicand continue to stir to soak up juices. Next gradually add 1 pint chicken stock. Season with S&P, put a lid on and simmer for 20-25 mins. Remove from heat and stir in 2 tblsp double cream.

We've had it a few times and it's really nice.
