How do YOU make tuna mayo?

I was just making myself some lunch and realised I don't add vinegar or pepper like my mother does. Is that common? Mine is literally a can of drained tuna and some mayo.

Is tuna in oil really nicer than in brine? I only bought that when the kids were babies and I was worried about the salt content.

Yes, to me anyway.

What's wrong with you all? Can't believe I'm the only one to add chopped gherkins...

Tuna, tons of mayo, salt, pepper. Sometimes finely chopped onion if it's not for DD.

Can of tuna in oil. Drain oil in to the 'dogs dish' whilst he goes fucking mental skipping and jumping around the kitchen.

Add mayo. Stir.

Give the dog his bowl to chase round the kitchen floor.

Serve the tuna.

No seasoning.

DH does similar but uses salad cream.

Tuna, mayo, salt and pepper.

Maybe some Paprika, depending on my mood.

Anything else is Tuna Mayo plus "X"

Sometimes, I make a tuna spread - equal parts tuna and soft cheese, salt, pepper, paprika. Sometimes more cheese to get a thick but easily spreadable consistency.

Drained can of tuna, defrosted frozen sweetcorn, mix together with a dollop of mayo a squirt of ketchup and a squirt of salad cream. I top it with sweet chilli sauce. Yum on jacket spud or toast.

Tuna, sweetcorn, cucumber, red bell pepper, mayo, cayenne pepper, homemade lemon pepper seasoning and red onion. I also add cheese if I’m making a tuna melt Smile

Tuna +mayo

Although sometimes I add a hard boiled egg. I seem to be the only one who does that.Shock

Unless then it really doesn't count as tuna mayo

With Philadelphia...because I don't like mayo

Seem to be a lot of people adding salad cream and mayo, does that make it sharper?

I like the idea of tuna and philly, bit like old school mackerel pate.

I always put loads of black pepper, grated onion, a squeeze of lemon, the mayo, and if I'm feeling frisky, a goodly dollop of Caribbean yellow pepper sauce. Yum!
