A surfeit of limes--- what to do , clever foodie people?

DH been at a charity thingie sponsored by a well known brand of rum...and has come home with 43 limes!!!

what the feck do i do with that many?? well??

Squeeze 'em,freeze juice,buy other essentials and then paaaaardy on!!

Slice them into chunks, freeze them and use them instead of ice-cubes in gin or vodka and tonic. Delish!

ok, there are only so many margheritas i can drink! shall i slice and dry them and make some lovely martha stewart home decoration thing???

The freezing in chunks really works. JUst chunk em, pop them in a freezer bag and chuck it in the freezer. Try and spread them out as flat as poss or you'll have one big chunk!

I really love Martha (although occasionally take the piss when it all gets too silly.You know the sort of thing-65 ways to decorate cakestands with grosgrain ribbon and velvelt tassels.)

Califrau - limes are the best. Lime granita? or macerate some nice fish and do a yummy Ceviche ...

Ooh, I make a fruit "mayonnaise" which is fab with grilled chicken or fish; puree the flesh of a whole mango in a blender till smooth, drizzle in the juice of a lime very slowly with the blender running and it will emulsify like mayonnaise. Lovely and fresh, brilliant for summer, no fat content at all!
