An alarmingly lurid red, tangy, viciously hot 10-bean and cauliflower chilli, with homemade flatbreads, freezing cold fizzy water to drink, and crunchy green salad with lemon juice and black pepper on it

ComeOVeneer · 16/03/2007 19:08

Oh forgot to mentin I would try and squeeze in some lovely cheese too.

Lullabyloo · 16/03/2007 19:08

I had pasta, it was boring and now I am full. I think I will join Carmenere next time.

Soapbox · 16/03/2007 19:09

Bizarrely, if I am on my own I always have a huge bowl of frozern peas and sweetcorn mixed together with a knob of butter and loads of black pepper.

Weird or what?

danceswithaSPRINGinherstep · 16/03/2007 19:09

Takeaway for me I hate cooking for just me.

lulumama · 16/03/2007 19:09

this is what you need , carmenere & CoV, if you just want the one glass !!!

Lullabyloo · 16/03/2007 19:10

....oh lulu.....
(that's green for vomit by the way...def not envy!]

Lullabyloo · 16/03/2007 19:10

Soapbox.....weird....

Cappuccino · 16/03/2007 19:11

to be honest if I was on my own I would have a glass of wine far too early, run out of energy before I had prepared my delicious meal and end up standing, swaying slightly, in front of the fridge and eating ham and the kids' babybels

this is most honest

Lullabyloo · 16/03/2007 19:12

....ahhhh...

lulumama · 16/03/2007 19:13

don;t knock it till you;ve tried it lully !!

Ooooh , panfried salmon on a bed of vegetable risotto with grated Gruyere on top. Followed by sticky toffee pud and shedloads of New Zealand riesling.

shimmy21 · 16/03/2007 19:37

On my own I'd have a toasted bacon sarny with melted cheese and ketchup. If dh was there I'd tut about how unhealthy it was and say I'd like a salad

Hathor · 16/03/2007 19:40

So what you having DT?

Cappuccino · 16/03/2007 19:40

oh Pruni I get it!!!

will remember to do this next time rather than pretending I am going to eat properly

pointydog · 16/03/2007 19:49

I go to M&S and buy pittas, hummous, olives, greek salad, wine.

Greensleeves · 16/03/2007 19:50

LMAO at Cappuccino, I've done that more than a few times

DimpledThighs · 16/03/2007 20:05

in the fridge I had some cold new potatoes and beetroot so I fashioned a kind of salad nicose by adding egg, tomato, olives, tuna (can't really remember what salad nicose is!) with some lovely bread - but will go back for more later.

'tis a joy just throwing loads of stuff together and if it is horrid I can chuck it away. It was lovely though.

That sounds lovely DimpledThighs. I love olives and often do a salad nicoies myself. However, as a treat tonight have ordered in a Famous Moes pizza -highly recomended if you've got one near you. (compleete with tuna, prawns & olives -delish )

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 16/03/2007 20:16
