what are your 'never fail, even if they're really not well at all' meals?

dd's are pasta, pesto and peas, roast chicken and roast potatoes, and white fish poached in milk and a baked potato (both with broccoli).
funnily enough, the latter two were what my mum used to cook me when i was ill.

i'd be interested to know what everyone else's comfort foods are. cheers

No I agree Justustoo, I went off at a pesto tangent and forgot about ill people .

OP's DD does like pesto when ill though .

tin of beans and sausage and toast, don't care if i get a visit from the food police, they're my kids, and it is only a once a week at the most thing
