had decided to do a riverford shop as far as possible not a tescos one but screw em, tbh. Does it not occur to them that people might want xmas puddings in the last delivery before xmas? ffs

Small and in cheapy cheapy packaging that looks like I paid 99p in Lidl for it - had actually bought it for christmas day but will buy another one because it really looks small and shit

I thought the cheeses looked REALLY overpriced

Don't be too disheartened about missing out on the green tomato chutney. It is too sweet and really, really runny.

I've been aspiring to a riverford box since I can rememeber but my mum and dad are so fussy about veg I can see the more unusual ie not carrots veg being left to mulch!

I opened my bag of beetroot on Friday and IT WAS ROTTEN!

I don't know why they don't just send a bag of compost and cut out the middle man

We love our vege boxes from Riverford but it can get a tad boring at this time of year as there are a lot of root veg (i've run out of ideas of things to do with carrots) but... the point of Riverford is that you get locally produced (generally) seasonal vegetables. I think it's worth it.

Ohh just thought... reindeer = carrots!!

however, we have not ordered from them for the last few weeks for various reasons. We just are not big casserole/roast/etc eaters, we eat salady stuff most of the time and the box is driving me up the wall.

oh what a fecking (if norty) treat to go to sainsburies and just frigging buy whatever we wanted to eat, rather than trying to get the kids to eat 4 kilos of kale a week, failing, and chucking a load of food out on tuesday night.

ANOTHER riverford gripe: Why the feck can they not do a fish box? WHY? They do meat, why not fish?

oh ipod-the shop is fabulous. it has a great range. look out for the ticklemore chutneys and their wonderful cheeses! my issue is with the boxes which, imo, are bloody boring in winter.

I shall probably re enter riverford purgatory in the new year. because it is the Right Thing To Do.

Have always found Riverford crap and disappointing.

Always used EverybodyOrganic. Fab. Better quality, variety, etc.

We love the riverford banana chutney, but we do like it sweet

I had a bloody big stone in my bag of potatoes in the last delivery...are they sold by weight? The corn on the cob is always only half ripe and the cauli is just manky...why do we bother week after week?

If they're sending you rubbish/rotten veg that's out of order; being local and seasonal is no excuse for that.

We always get nce fresh stuff here.

did big order for ds's 3rd b'day, loads of soft fruit and so forth. ALL frigging rotten and complete faff to sort.

Never actually met Anne, we have men- first was gorgeous..... now we have opne who isn't bad but not the previous standard (Dh used to get quite jealous LOL)

Got fed up with supermarket veg not being nice and from new zealand.

Sorry your riverford thing didn't work out for christmas. I was with abela nd cole and didn't likethem so switched to riverford. You might find a better one near you.
