Beans on toast,
Avocado on toast,
Toasted tea cake,
Cereal,
Toast/crumpets/muffins/bagels/pitta/brioche with cheese/jam/honey/marmite/cheese spread,
Bacon or sausage sandwiches,
Eggy toast, egg on toast, boiled eggs,
Croissant or pain au chocolat,
Pancakes,
Fruit,
Yoghurt,
Porridge.

Not all on one day! They usually have two or three items from the above list.
Drinks are tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, milkshake, smoothie, juice, squash or water.

IDismyname · 26/05/2015 22:09

DS 17 often has 6 slices of bacon and 6 scrambled eggs for breakfast with 2 toast...

Followed by a plastic tray of blueberries.

And I wonder why my food bills are sky high...

Oh, and those of you feeding your tots on a small handful of berries in the morning - just think ahead 15 years!!

Morgan · 26/05/2015 22:11

We have a routine eggs ( scrambled / boiled ) tues and thurs , sausages in an English muffin on Monday , egg and bacon sandwich on thurs , kedgeree on Friday .

FoxyJane · 26/05/2015 22:21

Porridge, ovened eggs and toast, ovened pancakes with bacon and maple syrup or pecans/walnuts bananas and maple syrup or yoghurt and fruit, pastries cinnamon or chocolate, bacon/sausage/egg butties or breakfast cake with yoghurt and a piece of fruit.

To drink yoghurt and oat smoothies, hot chocolate or milk and we have coffee or tea.

Sometimes we have leftover or a fish fry or lentil fry with roti but that's not that often maybe a few times a month.

AdoraBell · 26/05/2015 22:51

Forgot to say my DDs are 13. One willingly eats healthily but other would live on sugar and fat in the form of crisps and sweets if only I would let her have her own way. I think she's given up trying with me Grin

Wenglish · 28/05/2015 10:19

Weetabix
Toast with jam or honey
Water or milk to drink

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 30/05/2015 17:43

Weetabix, cornflakes or porridge, followed by half a croissant and an apple. Sometimes Greek yoghurt and honey. I let them have mini boxes of sugary exciting cereal on holiday.

At the weekend, we have pancakes with lemon and a bit of sugar, or toasted bagels with honey.

xvxvxvxvxvxvxvxv · 30/05/2015 17:50

Toast with avocado and marmite or peanut butter and banana. Fruit. Cereal if it's on offer. Porridge - loves it thanks to neep on abney and real. Chocolate milk or a cup of weak tea or juice with water.

grabaspoon · 30/05/2015 17:53

I have 1 18month old; they have 1 oatibix or wheetabix, although often has fruit; blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, orange, banana, or greek yoghurt. Sometimes we have toast, crumpets and pancakes,

prepperpig · 30/05/2015 17:58

I run a business from home and DH does the morning school run and so I make sure breakfast is fairly substantial (knowing that DS2 in particular is likely to eat rubbish for his school dinner if it's on offer)

Mine are 7 and 9 and will have one of the following

scrambled eggs on toast
beans and cheese on toast
egg and bacon roll
sausage and egg roll
porridge and a banana
boiled eggs
cheese, ham and tomato omelette
cheese and tomato toasties
pancakes

(we have chickens and so have lots of eggs)

smoothie or watered juice to drink plus a cod liver oil tablet and a multivitamin.

Mominatrix · 30/05/2015 17:58

Breakfast favourites:

Breakfast smoothie: milk, banana, raw cacao, flaxseed, peanut butter
porridge with berries
homemade sourdough crumpets (great way to use up starter decants)
Sourdough bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese
Sourdough toast with mashed avocado
Sourdough toast with scambled egg
egg and toast soldiers
Wholemeal pitta filled with avocado and scrambled egg

Stealthsquiggle · 30/05/2015 17:58

Anything they'll bloody eat. There are no morning people in this household, and the DC would naturally be up for a couple of hours before they were hungry but that's clearly not practicable on school days.

DC are 8 and 12. Current options include frosties, weetabix with maple syrup, toast and jam, bagel with Brie and smoked salmon, cheese and frankfurters.

Weekend options sometimes include boiled eggs of pancakes, or we will all skip breakfast and have a full English for brunch

mrsmilkymoo · 30/05/2015 17:59

9 month old mostly has porridge with some frozen berries squished in.

happypotamus · 31/05/2015 13:58

DD is 4. She has cereal or toast. The cereal choices are ready brek, weetabix, shreddies or corn flakes. Occasionally boiled egg and soldiers. Fruit and/ or yoghurt are also an option but she very rarely chooses them.

DD2 is 7 months. She rotates between ready brek, weetabix and toast with either dairy-free spread or peanut butter.

TessBrookes · 31/05/2015 22:39

Cereal. Usually Cheerios, Weetabix, shreddies.
Porridge with honey or sprinkle of sugar.
Toast with either margarine, jam or marmalade.
There's the fruit bowl as well so usually a banana or a Satsuma as well.

MissWimpyDimple · 31/05/2015 22:45

Ok so mine is going to be the worst so far.

DD has 2 wraps with Nutella every morning. Only deviation is that if I have time I make pancakes which she has with the Nutella instead!

She isn't a big eater and this is the compromise. I have tried many other things and although she doesn't refuse to eat them she just doesn't eat much of them. I've decided that I would rather have her eating Nutella wraps than nothing!

SpringInTheStep · 31/05/2015 23:01

Choice of rice crispies, cornflakes, grape nuts, weetabix, crunchy bran.

Followed by toast or fruit such as blueberries, pear, apple or banana.

Weekends is additional option of porridge with honey or jam.

StareMesto · 31/05/2015 23:07

Mine goes through stages where sometimes she eats cereal but at the moment it is bread (not toast) with nutella on.

Millie2013 · 01/06/2015 07:19

DD (2) is a bit hit and miss with breakfast, she prefers something a bit later. But we have had success with:

Beans on toast
Those whole grain sandwich thins, with butter on and some cheese
Half a banana/some pear/blueberries/strawberries
Yoghurt (if she's not in a breakfast place, she'll sometimes have a pouch of fromage frais)
Very occasionally, she will eat cereal (she has that bear one)
Drinks: she will only drink milk or water

meglet · 01/06/2015 07:27

chocolatey cereals on school & work days. I just want something in their stomach quickly with no whinging.

variety of weetabix / fruit / pancakes / egg & soldiers and an occasional fry up at weekends and school hols.

Whathaveilost · 01/06/2015 07:30

Banana smoothie made of Almond milk, ice cube, a couple of bananas, whey powder and honey. It may not be the best breakfast in the world but at 15 DS struggles to eat first thing so it is better than nothing.

Ragwort · 01/06/2015 07:34

Varies - he would love a bacon sandwich every morning - but sometimes it's a boiled egg or cereal (coco pops or similar). Toast and peanut butter. Pain au chocolat.

He's a teenager now and for years had 'healthy' breakfasts with lots of fruit but that doesn't happen much now. Grin.

BathshebaDarkstone · 01/06/2015 07:36

It varies. They choose. Today it was iced finger buns! Grin They also had Innocent fruit tubes.

ErinBlockerBitch · 01/06/2015 07:40

Cereal (corn flakes, rice crispies or Weetabix). 2 bowls
Cheese
Yogurt
Sometimes toast or sausages at weekends or on holiday

ErinBlockerBitch · 01/06/2015 07:41

I have 2 bananas. This is met with scorn.
