they are a bit pricey and i am a pretty good cook so would feel like i was being ripped off . their puds are nice i am not that fab at them !!

GoingQuietlyMad · 19/10/2006 14:41

Yes. Fantastic. A bit pricey but by the time you have bought all the ingredients to cook, it is worth it.

We just get meals in for special occasions or when people come to visit. The vegetarian chilli is amazing.

we used them to provide a posh picnic for glyndebourne when we didn't have time to do it ourselves (which we do usually of course !) - was very good.

lucycat · 19/10/2006 16:04

Freezer always stocked wth Cook! mainly so that I have something meaty for dh when he gets in at 10.30pm from the London train as I am mainly veggie and wil have eaten earlier. It's brilliant home cooking but you pay for it. New Internet service did disappoint but may get better. I try and buy from farm shops as much as possible and both my local ones now do homecooked food as well which is also very high quality generally, but cheaper.

TheDaVinciCod · 19/10/2006 19:20

Just sent an order from Cook to my grandmother.

She liked the food, (I chose the more traditional English meals for her eg: shepherds pie) but she was disappointed that she couldn't microwave the meals.

She especially liked the desserts though!

McWitch · 19/10/2006 19:37

went for dinner at friends' who'd just moved and had yummy-scrummy fish pie and then sticky toffee pudding. very very nice.

McWitch · 19/10/2006 19:38

Callmemadam - where do you live? Just we have a cook and two local farm shops with similar produce (prob barking up wrong tree!) We're E Surrey.

Callmemadam · 19/10/2006 20:23

Nearly there! - I live in Kent, near Tenterden. Cook! is in T Wells and Sevenoaks atm.

Mercy · 19/10/2006 20:43

Have never heard of Cook, but price wise it seems similar to M&S. But how would you comapre it for quality?

elclose · 19/10/2006 22:07

COD 'the davincicod' is one of the best names so far made me laugh!!!
