6:15pm on a Friday and I'm clocking off SAHM duties for a whole 40mins! YAY!

So while DH baths gets a soaking from the DCs I'm going to sit and relax get pissed over a glass bottle of something lovely.

I've got a bottle of The Doctor's Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from Waitrose, £8.99.

It's absolutley ruddy delicious, and quite frankly a bargain. Top quality, clean, crisp, zingy... kind of peppery like a ripe mango, in a good way. Let's just say it's slipping down nicely!!!

What's everyone else drinking tonight?

Cheers!! slurp slurp-
Wine

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 16/01/2015 18:30

Verdichio leftover from Christmas. It's lovely dry but not too dry.

Lottapianos · 16/01/2015 18:31

Benylin Sad the sauvignon blanc sounds way more fun. Enjoy!

Scotslasslivinginfrance · 16/01/2015 18:33

Campo Viejo Rioja it's 1 of only 2 wines in the world wine section in the supermarché !

LuckyLuckyMe · 16/01/2015 18:34

Andre Goichot Fleurie. It's gorgeous.

Sad lotta

LuckyLuckyMe · 16/01/2015 18:36

I won't have it for another hour though. Have to finish work.

Limer · 16/01/2015 18:38

Pre-pub drink just poured, it's just a glass of merlot out of the resident box, so nothing special! Going out in a few mins for some beers & food, will probably have more wine later. Wine rack is full (24 bottles) so plenty of choice Grin

iklboo · 16/01/2015 18:39

I've got labyrinthitis & can't drink. Especially with the tablets I'm on. Wahhhhhhh!!!!

Cooki3Monst3r · 16/01/2015 18:39

Lotsa - you starting on the hard stuff?!

It is really yummy. I don't drink much because basically I'm a fussy cow and sometimes I'd rather take my calories in chocolate form!

It's made by a lovely husband and wife team, John & Brigid Forrest. I love everything they make. Pinot noir, pinot Blanc, Riesling (especially this!), chardonnay. I've been drinking their wines for about 10 years. They're one of my favourite winemakers.

There is much screaming and shouting coming from upstairs. I think the bottle might be gone by the time DH is back!!!

Cooki3Monst3r · 16/01/2015 18:46

Think The Doctors is a Waitrose exclusive label. Others will have the same near as damn it thing under the label 'Forrest'.

Adnams Wines and probably Virgin Wines.

Have you opened a bottle yet - what are you drinking?

chin-chin Wine

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 16/01/2015 18:52

Will look for that in waitrose tomorrow. Smile

Gin has to be Hendricks or if I'm pushed Whitley Neil's. Plymouth is ok and tanquery will do I'm not fussy

OverAndAbove · 16/01/2015 18:59

Catena Chardonnay (from Argentina) It's our stock white wine and the right combination of flavour and versatility.

I also had two glasses of pinio Grigio "blush" whilst taking the DCs and some friends out for tea at Zizzi's. Friday night is wine night, after all...

DramaAlpaca · 16/01/2015 19:11
