I remeber those frozen mousse things too - they were one of the only desserts we had as kids - consequently I loved them!

southeastastra · 20/08/2006 21:08

supermousse

CountTo10 · 20/08/2006 21:12

Yes supermousses - does anywhere still do them??

dreamteamgirl · 20/08/2006 21:13

Supermouses? Yes Iceland does a version of them

So whats the score with hydrogenated veg oil? I didnt quite get the link.

southeastastra · 20/08/2006 21:15

who cares! people don't live off supermousses

CountTo10 · 20/08/2006 21:15

I think I could give it a good go

lunavix · 20/08/2006 21:16

Does it really say make with water on the packet?

I was sure it said milk. I wouldn't make it with water that would be grim.

Sugar free one just isn't as nice.

NotAnOtter · 20/08/2006 21:17

i can eat a whole angel delight ! yum!

SecurMummy · 20/08/2006 21:17

I was certain it was milk too - but it definitlyu said water!

CountTo10 · 20/08/2006 21:19

Adding water does sound yuk!!!

southeastastra · 20/08/2006 21:19

you have to make it with milk! bizarrely i am watching a show on bravo where a moose is sitting on someone's car bonnet

SecurMummy · 20/08/2006 21:20

How about this for adult angel delight?

CountTo10 · 20/08/2006 21:20

Define mousse??? One you can eat? The animal? Or an idiot??

SecurMummy · 20/08/2006 21:23

Well according to both Wikipedia and dooyoo it is made with milk - so I am now confused! I wonder if the instructions are different on catering packs? (It was a catering one I looked at) I am going to have to find out now

southeastastra · 20/08/2006 21:25

catering packs probably want to make it on the cheap - experiment?

NattyandThomas · 20/08/2006 21:26

i cant eat it anymore due to over eating it in pregnancy.. used to get thru 3 packets at once

crazydazy · 20/08/2006 21:26

My kids love this too so does DP. Better than stodgy puddings without a doubt.

Sparkler1 · 20/08/2006 21:27

Is this thread still going? lol So, I have found out that there are lots of moussey kinda stuff lovers out there in the big wide world of MN!!

Anybody ever do the jelly and evaporated milk mix??

southeastastra · 20/08/2006 21:29

yes at school countto10 it was called something like pink dream

CountTo10 · 20/08/2006 21:31

It was yummy!!!!

SecurMummy · 20/08/2006 21:32

No, tell me more!

CountTo10 · 20/08/2006 21:36

As I remember it, after the jelly had been dissolved, some evaporated milk used to be mixed in and then it would be left to set. It was much nicer than blamanche!!!!

southeastastra · 20/08/2006 21:40

yes! evaporated milk whipped in with the jelly and put in the fridge yum

SecurMummy · 20/08/2006 21:41

I hated that stuff school dinners from hell!

I will have to try the jelly milk! do you add less water or is it more runny than jelly?
