I'm trying to remember the name of one i used to have which was particularly gorgeous. I think it came in a sort of rum and raisin flavour.

Are you sure it wasn't more of a mars bar / Snickers / Topic type thing? With a design on the front a bit like a caribbean pirate wooden shack?

southeastastra · 11/08/2006 21:48

club?

Skribble · 11/08/2006 21:48

No I know the ones you mean CLUBS

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 11/08/2006 21:49

In a purple wrapper?

Norah · 11/08/2006 21:49

Yes Clubs - funny choc though iirc !

FrannyandZooey · 11/08/2006 21:50

Oh yes club

they were manky weren't they, but we convinced ourselves they were nice.

My sister made up the quite good trick of putting them in the freezer before eating them.

themoon66 · 11/08/2006 21:50

The purple club had raisins in, but not rum that I recall. Green was mint, orange was orange, red was plain choc. There were loads.

southeastastra · 11/08/2006 21:51

i loved the orange one

Skribble · 11/08/2006 21:52

Def not manky lovely thick chocolate I loved the mint ones.

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 21:52

no - it wasn't a club - exactly that sort of thing but not a club.

OP posts:
RobinHoodsPantFloss · 11/08/2006 21:53

The tunnocks ones are still nice...

themoon66 · 11/08/2006 21:54

Aztec bar?? Not sure if that was biscuit based though.

southeastastra · 11/08/2006 21:55

i loved banjos and drifters

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 21:58

not very helpful but I think it was a something and something

jasper · 11/08/2006 22:02

MOntego?

cye · 11/08/2006 22:02

old jamaican? that was a rum n raisin choc bar with galleon on front?
choc biscuits made me think of viscounts (?) vaguely remember some advert with ball room dancing couple (top hat, tails, white dress) dancing on enourmous biscuits... think they came in orange and mint though not rum raisin. or am i going mad....
you know, they were wrapped in either orange or green foil...round...?

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 22:13

i think it might have been jamaican something but isn't Old Jamaican an actual choc bar, not a biscuit thing?

OP posts:
thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 22:14

viscounts were lovely

OP posts:
cye · 11/08/2006 22:17

asking dh now.... he reckons club in purple wrapper but i disagree. i think that was just raisin. he says something about a raisin and biscuit yorkie.

rubbish. though he claims to remember biscuit, can't remember name.

have you tried

www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com/biscuits/index.php3

it's the biscuit oracle....

themoon66 · 11/08/2006 22:19

Old Jamaican was an actual choccie bar and not a biscuit.

Blu · 11/08/2006 22:19

mmm, yes, Viscounts.

And Toffee YoYos. Or Mint YoYos.

I liked Bandit Bars.

cye · 11/08/2006 22:23

ah, check out their 'missing in actionb' section. alarmingly addictive...it all comes flooding back. could it have been a MONTEGO which was like a club...as suggested by JASPER who was also a biscuit in the late 90's (half mumsnetter half biscuit?). no offence Jasper. i do remember you. bit citrus-y.

Mercy · 11/08/2006 22:26

If you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuit join our club

or something like that!

Wagon wheels anyone?

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 22:27

cye - you've got it - yes it was a montego. second only to trios

OP posts:
Tommy · 11/08/2006 22:27

was it a Cariba? Coconutty and cherry type thing? Not a biscuit but definitely a choccy bar - yum
