I'm trying to remember the name of one i used to have which was particularly gorgeous. I think it came in a sort of rum and raisin flavour.

Trios were disgusting! far too sickly!

Tinker · 11/08/2006 22:29

cye · 11/08/2006 22:35

ah yes, trio, toffee flavour. i can taste it now!

Blu · 11/08/2006 22:38

Breakaways were brilliant! Lots of nice tasting choc, and a good gritty texture.

Bring back the toffee YoYo!

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 22:39

thanks - I found it in the end. dh said breakaways - i thought they were really boring. what about uniteds? they were great. and quiz question for you - what was a mint club called?

WideWebWitch · 11/08/2006 22:45

"if you like a lot of chocolate on yer biscuit join our club" - remember them singing it in The Royle Family?

Blu · 11/08/2006 22:47

Golf!

themoon66 · 11/08/2006 22:48

I still buy breakaways occasionally

possumhead · 11/08/2006 22:51

Thought i'd chip in with the link

have a look at missing in action

cye · 11/08/2006 22:52

dh is now hiding in another room to avoid any more rounds of the missing in action biscuit quiz... ah, friday nights. i remember when we used to go 'out'. now we bake our own entertainment.

Blu · 11/08/2006 22:58

Golf! GOLF! G-O-L-FFF!

Skribble · 11/08/2006 23:00

DH is addiment it is a club, he is getting quite vocal about it now and telling me all the colours they came in

cye · 11/08/2006 23:01

but why would a flavour have its own name? what's that all about?

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 23:02

dh says it was a golf - and it had a picture of a golf club on it. first prize to blu.

Skribble · 11/08/2006 23:03

DH claims to be an expert of biscuits and says its damm well not a golf its a club!

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 23:05

sorry - apparently it had a picture of a golf ball not a club

OP posts:
Skribble · 11/08/2006 23:05

Club from 7 pack

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 23:11

anyone find these reviews faintly weird. dh has now backtracked - he says it might not have been called a golf. just cant trust him

OP posts:
Skribble · 11/08/2006 23:12

what and this isn't .

Blu · 11/08/2006 23:17

Hmmm. Doubt creeps in. I do remember the green mint leaf design on the mint club, and if you scroll down this page it says the milk choc had the golf design. I'm sure there was one which actually said 'gol' on it, though!

And is your lost biscuit a 'Cabana'? or AmazinRaison? I know you settled on Montego, though...

WideWebWitch · 11/08/2006 23:19

I remember a rum n raisin type thing. We didn't have it but were delighted when friend's mum down the road did. Surely it was a club variation? They had high market share in the 70s/80s

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/08/2006 23:20

hmmm doubt all round about the clubs - all those symbols ring true.
