my children have just eaten sausages plus a generous helping of Sainsburys pasta in cheese and broccoli sauce (the kind that comes in a packet that you add water too and reconstitute in the microwave)

Oooh, top trumped by deep frying said pizzas.

Tinker · 28/07/2006 20:03

CountessDracula · 28/07/2006 20:03

Greensleeves · 28/07/2006 20:03

Sorry, no Haagen Daas. Sod off back to your foodie friends, expat

ComeOVeneer · 28/07/2006 20:04

Not a common one, but certainly not healthy. Fried Bloom's kosher salami sandwich.

rabbitrabbit · 28/07/2006 20:05

Mashed potatoes, fish fingers and beans
but YUMMMMM

foxinsocks · 28/07/2006 20:06

I sometimes give the kids the frozen chicken things (forget what they are called) - like strips but have the consistency of chicken that you have chewed, spat out and then rolled into a strip

I'm also partial to McDonalds - nothing sorts out a hangover like a Big Mac Meal with coke (though if I go with the kids, we all end up with chicken nuggets because I can't stomach the burger unless I'm seriously hungover )

trinityrhino · 28/07/2006 20:07

ok, i do like curry pot noodles, pepperamis and hot dogs

is that slummy enough???

Greensleeves · 28/07/2006 20:08

Yes.

MrsDoolittle · 28/07/2006 20:13

Love these!

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 20:14

Ooh Tunnocks' tea cakes - dh loves them. Mind you he also likes Caramac, Wagon Wheels and salad cream.

Greensleeves · 28/07/2006 20:16

Ooooh, Wagon Wheels.....

rabbitrabbit · 28/07/2006 20:17

but don't they look a lot smaller now!

WideWebWitch · 28/07/2006 20:17

wotsits

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 20:18

They used to be the size of...well...a wagon wheel. And Curly Wurlys were as long as your arm.

rabbitrabbit · 28/07/2006 20:20

I know. Now I've got to eat three just to get the same hit

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 20:22

Can't remember who it was posted their online shopping list (well, I know you did, www - but I'm not thinking of you, your was full of poncetastic items) and everyone pulled it to bits and said "oh, you don't need x, y, z."

Well, since then I always look at my list, after I've placed my online order, and think "would this pass muster on MN?" And you know...it never would, there are always a few items, in amongst the lentils and organic carrots, that I wouldn't admit to on here

EnidsFanjo · 28/07/2006 20:23

oh and we had butterscotch angel delight the other day

that stuff is seriously yum

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 28/07/2006 20:25

mmmwe used to sprinkle hundreds and thousands on it when we were kids

I tried it on my kids recently and they wouldn't touch it (snobs )

SenoraPostrophe · 28/07/2006 20:26

oh buttersctch angel delight is my favourite. especially with a flake crumbled in.

the closest thing they sell in spain is that chemically strawberry stuff. horrid.

psychomum5 · 28/07/2006 20:31

macdonalds and KFC...without doubt....yummy

when ill, only a chicken and mushroom pot noodle will suffice

pringles...will fight the kiddies for the sour cream and onion ones

ben and jerrys....love phish food, but the caramel chew chew is my fave

and I only like white bread i am afraid

MrsDoolittle · 28/07/2006 20:49

Oh yes Of course. Angel Delight.
I eat a whole packet all my own. Dh scoffs saying it's 'infant food'

trinityrhino · 28/07/2006 20:52

angel delight is the best thing in the world
oh and when pregnant I have to have kfc salsa wraps yummy..... and at other times too

canadianmum · 28/07/2006 20:57

mogwai · 29/07/2006 00:07

i'd secretly like to eat spam fritters. stayed at poncy hotel two weeks ago and had posh spam fritters as a starter. Paid through the nose. Should have gone to the chippy instead
