my children have just eaten sausages plus a generous helping of Sainsburys pasta in cheese and broccoli sauce (the kind that comes in a packet that you add water too and reconstitute in the microwave)

trinityrhino · 28/07/2006 19:54

I love white bread, amd I eat smash with biutter and a little wholegrain mustard stirred in and then sprinkled with cheese

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 19:55

Greasy spoons are part of British culture, surely. Poncetastic.

SenoraPostrophe · 28/07/2006 19:55

perhaps I'm not as poncey as I thought in fact. I might email this thread to my sister.

I can beat that Mrs Doolittle

I like Black Tower.

SenoraPostrophe · 28/07/2006 19:56

eeeeuuu smash!

cd - do you mean boiled frankfurters or fried english style sausages?

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 19:56

You can't count Smash if you poncify it with wholegrain mustard

Greensleeves · 28/07/2006 19:56

I'm sorry trinity, but no sentence containing the phrase "a little wholegrain mustard" has a hope of being slummy enough to qualify for this thread Sling yer 'ook!

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 19:56

No-one likes Black Tower!

Greensleeves · 28/07/2006 19:57

I do

I don't drink it though....well only at Christmas.....

CountessDracula · 28/07/2006 19:58

frankfurters

I like the proper ones with the skin that go when you bite them

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 19:58

My brother used to cook those hideous cheap pizzas (the ones that are about the size of a CD) in the microwave so they were all flaccid and limp then eat them in a white bread sandwich with ketchup.

Ha, beat that if you can...

spidermama · 28/07/2006 19:58

McVities Mini Cheddars.

MrsDoolittle · 28/07/2006 19:59

Exactly what I was thinking marthamoo.

Apart from my very nice elderly naighbours. They have boxes and boxes of empty Black Tower bottles in their garage

Tinker · 28/07/2006 19:59

I have the occasional Pot Noodle...

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 19:59

(That's a CD, Compact Disc, not a Countess Dracula - never met her but I'll wager she wouldn't fit in a sandwich)

ComeOVeneer · 28/07/2006 19:59

I used to love heinz salad cream on toast but haven't had it for years.

CountessDracula · 28/07/2006 20:00

or a microwave!

Greensleeves · 28/07/2006 20:01

Oh, now that's going too far. I couldn't eat a Not Foodle. They stink

SenoraPostrophe · 28/07/2006 20:02

I've eaten those cd sized pizzas deep fried in batter from the local chippy. and much as I'd rather have fish, they were not bad!

(go on - beat that. or maybe frankfurters beat that)

marthamoo · 28/07/2006 20:02

Yikes, CD, do you just lurk waiting for a mention of your name so you can pop out and scare people?

expatinscotland · 28/07/2006 20:02

i fed dd2 - age 7 months - a bit of Haagan Daas vanilla tonight. she was watching me eat it sooo longingly.
