Organix-Warning

Gogo1 · 03/12/2013 11:11

We live in Malta and used Organix products for my grandson. Recently, we were horrified to find maggots in their bars-the oat bars and the dried fruit bars. What makes things even worse is the fact Organix has ignored our emails informing them. We obviously won't be using this product any more and I'd advise anyone who does so to check very carefully before giving it to a child.

What was the expiry date on your product?

mrspremise · 03/12/2013 19:40

BOAK

Snowbility · 03/12/2013 22:17

Are we talking moving maggots? If not how do you know they were maggots?

Gogo1 · 04/12/2013 08:19

They were within the expiry date, Gandalfspointyhat Yes, snowbility, they were moving maggots-and they were easily identifiable as such!

Must be pretty recent packaging - not sure what the lifecycle of a fly is...

Hi all,

Organix have been in touch and asked us to post this message on the thread:

"Hi,

"We are ever so sorry to hear about your experience. We would love to be able to get in touch with you as soon as possible to resolve the issue immediately. Would it be possible to share your contact details with us by emailing me at [email protected]?

Kind regards,
Rebecca, part of the Organix team"

Gogo1 · 05/12/2013 08:16

Hello Rebecca, I suggest you answer my daugher's email to you about this topic, which up to now you have ignored. Presumably hers is the only one reporting maggots? Unless there are others?

Um sure Organix would love to speak to the OP now they've posted mo MN. What a sad reflection on the company that the family have had to do this before illiciting any kind of response.

BigW · 05/12/2013 08:36

If it was a problem at packing stage it wouldn't just be in one bar would it?

RebeccaMumsnet · 05/12/2013 10:01

Hi all,

Organix have been back in touch to respond:

'“Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I’m afraid we do not have any emails from any customers regarding any issues like this. Would it be possible to ask your daughter to resend the email to [email protected] so we can immediately get in touch to get the matter resolved as quickly as possible?

Kind regards
Rebecca”

Gogo1 · 06/12/2013 07:56

Hello Rebecca-my daughter had one reply from you-asking for more information-then nothing. So I know you must at least have a record of this first email. I'm dismayed an issue like this has been either ignored or overlooked by your company and that I have had to take recourse to a public forum to elicit a response. It seems there are issues of either negligence or inefficiency in your company and I will request my daughter to re-send her second email.

Hello

Here's the most recent response from Organix:

'Thank you ever so much for getting your daughter to resend her email. We will follow this up with her via email and ensure that the matter is resolved immediately. Many thanks once again for all your help'

glorious · 06/12/2013 19:38

OP I just thought you might like to know that Rebecca works for mumsnet rather than Organix Smile Hope they respond well now they're on the case.

glorious · 06/12/2013 19:39

Or rather there are two, which perhaps you'd realised!
