Yes - Tescos are particularly devious by putting a creme egg display near the baby aisle. I swear it's designed to draw in all the pregnant people like me

Well, that's my excuse for buying a box of 6 anyway....

LadyCodworth · 16/02/2004 19:04

Why don't you have your real name up on the moderators board, Coddy??

The mini creme eggs are fab. A much better balance of chocolate to fondant creme than the standard size.

LadyCodworth · 16/02/2004 19:10

littlerach · 16/02/2004 19:30

Sorry, can't stand them!! Neither can DD who had her first one last week, and complained abpout the white stuff!!
Has anyone had the double creme eggs by Galaxy? Swoon!! They are delicious, with creamy stuff and pieces of cocoa bean in.....aahhhhh!!!

fimbles · 16/02/2004 20:28

I love them so much. Had 2 last night. They don't last long enough. I try to eat them a diferent way each time, although they taste good any way you eat them. Dh was jealous as he thought the egg was receiving more attention than him. I'll get round to him in the near future, I supose.

Anyone else an experienced cream egg eater.

LadyCodworth · 16/02/2004 20:29

OP posts:
miggy · 16/02/2004 21:01

Does anyone else remember the inside being runnier and the yellow tasting more different to the white or is that just nostalgia?

Lisa78 · 16/02/2004 21:06

no, I agree miggy, I don't like them anymore now!

spacemonkey · 16/02/2004 21:12

yes miggy, i'm sure the fondant used to be smoother and slightly more runny - it seems a little granular now

Hulababy · 16/02/2004 21:12

They were also bigger!

spacemonkey · 16/02/2004 21:59

please, someone tell me their eyes go funny too when eating creme eggs?! (am getting worried now!)

Chinchilla · 16/02/2004 22:04

I think that you are just a looney SM!

spacemonkey · 16/02/2004 22:05

argh

i get funny eyes with french fancies as well

lydialemon · 16/02/2004 22:07

I don't really like the chocolate bit, so I'd just like to be able to buy a tub of the fondant!

Chinchilla · 16/02/2004 22:09

Eurgh Lydia, you would puke! You need the chocolate to counteract the sickliness...

French fancies - haven't had them in YEARS. What happens to your eyes SM?

spacemonkey · 16/02/2004 22:10

they go all squinty as if in very bright sunlight, it's really weird!
