I think Lloyd Grossman's tomato and roasted garlic is the nicest one I've found so far but have you found a really yummy one?

NorthernLurker · 18/05/2013 09:29

I buy Lloyd or Ragu traditional or the Waitrose own ones. Dolmio is VILE. Don't know why anybody buys that.

JumpingJackSprat · 18/05/2013 09:31

As someone who eats pasta every day...

The best is Co-op own brand labelled "Truly Irresistible"
After that, I agree with those mentioning various Sacla, Seeds of Change and Sainsbury's Puttanesca.

Definitely avoid Loyd Grossman...far, far too fat laden/greasy.

xigris · 18/05/2013 09:40

Sacla chilli pesto is the dogs. Unfortunately haven't been able to find it recently.

Juniperdewdropofbrandy · 18/05/2013 10:16

ooo will try the co-op have one near to us.

MERLYPUSS · 19/05/2013 20:15

Seeds of change or surprisingly enough the Lidl one that comes in 3/4 varieties. Green, red and purple lid in glass jar with slightly pinched in neck if that makes sense. Tasty enough to pour on meatballs without poncing it up. Dolmio tastes gluey IMHO.

Heavenly can we have the recipe please? Thanks

Nehru · 19/05/2013 20:21

bulletwithbutterflywings · 19/05/2013 20:23

Sacla olive stir in sauce - yum!

Bunbaker · 19/05/2013 20:35

I haven't found a sauce in a jar that I like except for pesto. I buy Sacla pesto and make other sauces myself.

mrspink27 · 19/05/2013 22:57

Another vote for seeds of change, either tomato and basil or bolognese - only buy when on offer at Sainsbos, but then stock up. Usually I bulk it out with more veg though...

Dawndonna · 19/05/2013 22:59

Another seeds of change fan here

YoniOno · 19/05/2013 23:00

I like Sacla sundried tomato paste - you don't need much at all, it's like pesto, and I add loads of cream or Philly. Just a couple of teaspoons.

burberryqueen · 19/05/2013 23:01

Lloyd Grossman Thai red curry

Juniperdewdropofbrandy · 19/05/2013 23:02

Seeds of Change is on offer at Tesco at the moment. But also quite cheap at Asda.
