Preferably beef but I would consider a racking chicken casserole. As my bog standard we roll put Jools Favourite Stew which is great but a bit basic. I want one with a certain extra "something", a bit more impressive. Needs to feed kids too otherwise I'd probably do Hughs soy and ginger beef!!!

if you can be talked into lamb, there's a MNers recipe for a mildly Moroccanesque lamb shoulder stew here which is UH-mazing. I used to make it a lot, including for kids (the booze cooks off, right??)
