Not quite sure how it will come out though!! I did the 6oz flour sugar marg mix with three eggs and half a packet of Birds custard mix and a large splash of milk!
I sliced a nearly ripe banana and put half the cake mixture in my loose bottomed round cake tin and then half the sliced banana and then the rest of the mixture and then the rest of the banana and a sprinkling of sugar! I wanted Brown sugar but there wasnt any in the cupboard!
If it comes out ok i will put a picture on my profile!!! Grin

Cake-tease.

BaronessBomburst · 27/01/2013 17:40

Looks nice! I could definitely be persuaded to try a piece. BF as I type too, so practically compulsory to eat cake. Grin

Sounds good! Have you sampled it yet OP as i wondered if just 1 banana would be enough?

Mrsrobertduvall · 27/01/2013 19:17

I have just made a banana and chocolate cake. And will be having it with some custard later

ToriaPumpkin · 27/01/2013 19:20

I have bananas that need using up and DH would happily live on custard, you are about to become his new hero if it tastes good!

LottieJenkins · 27/01/2013 19:24

I have tried it. I wonder if more than one banana would make it too heavy? It was very light with one banana and very custardy!

Oh I have everything needed to make this cake.

How long in oven at what temp? And half a pack of custard mix, whats that in grams?

TapselteerieO · 27/01/2013 19:31

Sounds lovely and looks delicious, I saw a rhubarb and custard cake on BBC Good Food that looks v tempting too.

LottieJenkins · 27/01/2013 19:35

I put it in the oven for about an hour at about 150/160 degrees.....Half a packet of custard mix is 37.5grams!
