the winner of the kitchenaid will also win a special Diamond Jubilee (um, edition? it's early) golden syrup pot, 'cause that's the real draw of the competition. In the excitment it probably all went into a blur before your eyes and you saw a picture of a white kitchenaid, diamond golden syrup and came up with Diamond White kitchenaid.

Anyway, going to stop posting on this thread now - don't want to draw too much attention to it, can't have more people entering!

My "creation" was cheesecake with a flapjack base.

Hi Viking, I submitted Treacle Tart Icecream, with small pastry balls and treacle balls in the icecream, kinda like cookie dough icecream. Not sure icecream was what they were after, but I had to bake the pastry and treacle tart filling, so I figured it counted.

I wanted to do a multi-layered cake with chocolate and blackcurrent as flavours, I just couldn't get the syrup into it nicely!

mine was a kightly spiced apple cake with a syrup glaze. i make it in a bundt tin and it looks geat.

choc and blackcurrant layer cake sounds fab.

mmmm, these all sound lovely. Although, Mike, surely you'll be withdrawing now you've got your shiny Kenwood? 'Snot fair if you have both and I some of us have to go without.

it's just my luck! I've already had to turn down an incredible prize from mn.

I didn't think this finished until 31 may

wem I was incredibly lucky and won a family holiday to sardinia.

Unfortunately dd1 broke her arm and it looks like she may need an op and a long time in a cast. The hol had to be taken by sept this year and between dd and work we couldn't get a suitable date.

I'm hoping they have passed the prize onto someone else but I haven't heard anything.

Oh no, poor DD1! Such a shame about the holiday, sounds she, and you all, could do with the treat.

MrsSnapLegs, it wasn't clear to me either, but someone from MNHQ said entries in by Monday on the mumsnet facebook page.
