I promise not to sneer at mention of Bisto,microwaveable rice and cook in sauces (well only to myself....)

For moi tuna and roast vegetables with thyme and lemon.

Oooh, spidermama, I love gnocchi, it is one of DD1's favourite's too.

It is nive with spinach and potato too.

Well we had Shepherds Pie and peas and brocolli and carrots.

Very nice and warming.

we had cheaty cassoulet - garlicky sausages baked with haricot beans, pancetta, onions and garlic wtih a garlic, breadcrumb and parsley topping

Moondog - may I ask, do your children have apcked lunches? WHAT do you put in the (am imagining culinary delights to inspire me...don't let me down with dairylea lunchable).

No they don't-not often anyway,but if they do,it would be cheese and pickle,ham and mustard or hummus rolls. Frit juice and fruit afterwards with maybe the occasional digestive biscuit or piece of nice cake.
Have no real objection to sugar,only nasty processed food.

chicken korma lemon rice and a peshwari nan bread.....local indian on speed dial
the kids have had chicken fillet with new pots and baed beans.
