Prawns (preferably shell-on, by the time you've shelled them you feel you've used up any calories you're about to eat) with lemon juice, black pepper & watercress on brown. Mmmm

Cheese & lime pickle.

Chese & onion toasted.

WandaDoff · 23/02/2012 20:14

Bacon, brie & watercress.

HedleyLamarr · 23/02/2012 20:29

Strong cheddar, lots of strong onion and mayonnaise. On white.
Slow roasted pork and stuffing.
Fried egg and grilled cheese with brown sauce.
Toasted grilled cheese and mushroom. With brown sauce.

Easily pleased me. Smile

Peanut butter and cucumber.
Smoked salmon and cream cheese (in a bagel).
Ridiculously strong cheddar and pickle.

Cold mashed new potato and salad cream on white.

Crisps on white.

Peanut butter and Nutella on a hot bagel.

metalelephant · 23/02/2012 21:50

rockinastocking, peanut butter and nutella is wonderful but the hot bagel detail is genius. I applaud.

mrspnut · 23/02/2012 21:55

I have a couple of favourites
Cheese and red onion on white bread
Pastrami, gherkins and mustard on whole grain bread
Naice ham and coleslaw
Bacon and egg with tomato ketchup

PessimisticMissPiggy · 23/02/2012 22:11

Mature cheddar and branston pickle (small chunk).

There's a fantastic sandwich shop in my city that does triple toasted melt sandwiches. My favourites are coronation chicken and mango chutney or Cajun chicken, sour cream and jalapeños. Both with just the right amount of melted cheese. Yum!

sharond101 · 23/02/2012 22:44

peanut butter on hovis wholemeal
roast chicken coleslaw and cranberry sauce with french fries worcester sauce crisps
fish fingers in soft white bap with ketchup and vinegar

jade80 · 23/02/2012 22:51

Brie, avocado, basil leaves and mayo

Fresh mozarella, avocado, pesto mayo, rocket, toasted pinenuts and sliced cherry tomatoes

Humus, cucumber, carrot, broccoli (usually a wrap not sandwich)

jade80 · 23/02/2012 22:52

Oh and chip butties with plenty of salt, vinegar and butter... none of this spread crap!

AmberNectarine · 23/02/2012 22:55

Normal: peanut butter

Less normal: Bovril and crisps

Totally skanky: a chicken and mushroom pie [the shame]

anthonytrollopesrevenge · 23/02/2012 23:05

Another one for cheese and onion (spring, red or even white, if no social event later in the day!)

Kids love tinned salmon mashed with creme fraiche, squeeze of tomato purée and pepper.
