We're doing lentil and carrot soup, but I love the idea of lentil soup with feta, ItsallGreek! Do you just make a normal lentil soup (lentils, carrot, stock, onion, celery, maybe a potato), or do you spice it some other way?

AngryFeet · 23/02/2012 17:02

We just had lamb steaks with brocolli cheese. First time I have gotten my kids to eat brocolli so I am very pleased!

WipsGlitter · 23/02/2012 17:04

Chicken and leeks in a white cheddar sauce and mustard mash. Both new to the Wips household. Just need tonstop watching Toy Story 3 with DS1...

saynothing · 23/02/2012 17:06

Chicken stuffed with chorizo and cheese and baked wedges, no veggies left as it's big shop day tomor but we'll survive!

WipsGlitter · 23/02/2012 17:09

Do you mix anything in with the chorizo? Sounds yum.

DanJARMouse · 23/02/2012 17:13

Beef stew and dumplings! Stew has been in the slow cooker all day.... tummy is gurgling away and I am clock watching til tea time!

CiderwithBuda · 23/02/2012 17:18

Sausage and mash here for DH and DS. I might have same or may have the rest of the vegetable curry that I made on Tuesday with a jacket potato.

saynothing · 23/02/2012 17:21

No just chop it up a bit. The best part is the chicken though, it's from gino on this morning a while back, you flatten breast with rolling pin or kitchen hammer stuff it with whatever then roll up and pin together with cocktail sticks and wrap it in baking paper like a Christmas cracker and bake for about 30 mins. Its soooo tender!

LauraShigihara · 23/02/2012 17:21

I'm poorly (was vomitty, now just drowsy) so DH is taking care of dinner.

He is bringing home... McDonald's. Guess whose eight year old is a happy boy?

clippityclop · 23/02/2012 17:21

Oh this is going to sound so dull compared to your offerings - cottage pie and green beans. But will be yummy as DDs made it with lots of cheese on top.

elizadoulalittle · 23/02/2012 17:22

DDs just had slow cooked chicken, chips, cauliflour and brocli. I feel sick might have something later.

HuevosRancheros · 23/02/2012 17:22

Finally making Ottolenghi's pizza - spinach, pecorino and egg, with za'atar and sumac. Can't wait Grin

Fourlotsoftrouble · 23/02/2012 17:24

Chicken risotto!! A fave for all family

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/02/2012 17:38

Veggie curry with various trimmings.

scabbysnake · 23/02/2012 19:36

we had lentil bake & salad - first time i have made it & it was lovely!

CalicoCathy · 23/02/2012 19:42

We were all going to have split pea and frankfurter soup.

15 minutes after we usually have dinner and the peas were still rock hard, even though the recipe and the packet both suggested they only needed an hour. I had to bail on the soup and quickly cook cheese omelettes and peas for the DC.

That was ages ago, they are both now tucked up in bed and the stupid soup is STILL not ready

Shinyshoes1 · 24/02/2012 13:21

I have no idea. I have just opened the freezer and look at the offerings, was uninspired and closed it again.

Pascha · 24/02/2012 13:21

Chicken curry from a jar and naan bread.

elizadoulalittle · 24/02/2012 16:00

Mousakka, home made from freezer for me and DH. fisfingers and something for DDs.
