Lots of lovely stuff, best was a big wooden picture frame my BIL made and then put in lots of pictures of my granny and grampa (who died earlier this year) from their wedding (her all beautiful in wedding dress looking like movie star) through all the kids. A lot of love and work went into it and it will passed through the generations i think (my sis was a bit jealous!)

What you up to for new year?

OP posts:
gossifairyonthexmastree · 29/12/2005 11:07

juicer sound groovy by the way

ALMOSTANewyearANGEL · 29/12/2005 15:14

your bros prezzie really touched me,,i never met my grandparents and a couple of yeears ago my brother [who had met them ] wrapped one of my grandads silk scarves in a box and put on it to with love from grandad i was in tears ...juicer is great ..am trying pineapple later! for new year we have friends coming round...we just have had my eldest daughter [16]boyfriend round and its his 21st birthday so i got him a cake from sainsburys and we all sung him happy birthday ..bless! i had an ulterior motive! i wanted to keep the board as it has lights that flash on it ....so ive sent him off to see his sister and her 2 day old baby with his birthday cake wrapped in foil with no board ! lol

gossifairyonthexmastree · 29/12/2005 17:05

i keep thinking about the pressie, think it will be an all time great!
the box with the scarf sounds lovely
at your daughters 21 year old boyfriend, gosh, you really open my eyes to the delights of things to come and all we worry about is has he poohed or eaten or slept through

OP posts:
ALMOSTANewyearANGEL · 29/12/2005 17:16

lol you still worry if they poo or sleep through how ever old they get you just have other things to worry about too ,but they are worth it so what you up to today?

gossifairyonthexmastree · 29/12/2005 17:22

well, we had a walk around stoke newington to buy food for the cottage (going tomorrow am) for new years
and we've lain around eating mince pies and chocs and played with ds and enjoyed it just being us
ds has one of the pushalong things which he seems to have mastered walking with which is a bit freaky! and also just loves giving us things and getting them back
i'm so enjoying dp being around, he got up with ds this morning and he's about to go and give him tea

so, what you gonna do with the flashing cake board? got visions of you attaching a over cooked steak to it somewhere........

OP posts:
ALMOSTANewyearANGEL · 29/12/2005 17:27

lol@ cake board NO i think i will attach it to back of head and pretend to be an angel ,,no im going to keep it for birthdays it really sweet ..your ds sounds charming i miss the toddler stage ..are you taking ds to the cottage ? more snow tomorrow!! dont forget to get him in a padded suit and wellies for some pics!..[ds not dp!!]

gossifairyonthexmastree · 29/12/2005 17:32
