ds hasn't really registered the xmas lights, he's more of the let me put any little bit of anything in my mouth constantly!! likes the bits of silver that have fallen off the tinsel though!

but he just had some tea, first food since saturday, so must be on the mend, and no temp, i do hope he's better for xmas

will do the ham on xmas eve, we're driving down to wales to my parents on friday, haven't been home for xmas for 7 years, so my mum's over the moon! sis is going too with her dp and dd so should be good; what are your doing?

have bought my mum some tickets to go and see some jazz on a day she's up in london anyway, so a nice surprise!
have got my sis some tickets for 'a fine balance' a play that as a book was shortlisted for the booker prize, so we'll see on that one, looks interesting though, i think it might become a tradition for us

we're in london as you've probably guessed, where are you?

do you wrap pressies as you go along? we'll do them with a bottle of something nice on xmas eve i think, not time before and cannot do when ds awake, he'd eat the paper!!!
we've been to the post sorting office to pick up parcels from santa (all seem to be for ds!)
then we went to the local hospice where my aunt works, had a look around and met lots of old ladies who coo'd over ds and said 'enjoy him, they grow up fast.....' & picked up more pressies
just to do some cleaning (which might or might not happen )
friend round for lunch
then need to make mince pies too!
also need to pick up the ham this afternoon and buy one more pressie
might even pop into woolies!
then we have friends coming round for mince pies and wine this evening
and then dp is off work until the 3rd, yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gosh think i need a break from here my spelling is getting dire....have a great afternoon ,dont forget to double check all your lists and defrost anything that needs it,,,take care .....

gossifairyonthexmastree · 22/12/2005 15:07

i'm sorry about you're grandads

i know what you mean about grandparents, i've got only one nan left, luckily when ds was a couple of months old ds and i spent the day with my grampa, he died suddenly that week! at least my grampa met him, it meant a lot to me

your dds sound so lovely,

i've been thinking a lot about love recently, it's all so different when you have kids isn't it? mortality and health have a whole new meaning (this is the woman who was crying in the car on tuesday listening to the archers!)
