Pork with Pears
Clam Chowder
Roast Chicken
Toad in the Hole
Chicken Burito's (using left over chicken)
a mince one - but my mind has gone blank LOL
and Vegetable Soup - using all left over veggies and chicken stock made from the chicken.

honeybunny · 05/12/2005 13:22

Fish pie (salmon, haddock and prawns) with veg
Cottage pie and veg
Oxtail, mash spuds and veg
Braised sausages with cider and apple, rice and veg
Chicken, mushroom and leek pie, spuds and veg
Baked ham with black molasses (parsley sauce, doesnt go but kids love it) spuds and veg

For veg read anything from carrots, tender stem broc, green beans, sprouts and cabbage. I usually do 3 for each meal as still encourging dd at just 1yo to eat a big variety. .

Its all quite nursery, but I refuse to cook separate meals during the week.

Think dh and I might indulge in a little fillet steak and scallops with pancetta and salad over the w/e.

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 13:26
  • Beef casserole with crunchy bread (vewggie for me)
  • Pasta with tomato and mascarpone sauce
  • Fish (not sure type yet as used my salmon up this weekend), rice and veggies
  • Home made burgers, home made wedgies and salad

Out for a meal on Friday, so DD will be having take away with PILs and I will be having a posh dinner all being well

blueshoes · 05/12/2005 13:26

Chilli con carne with rice
Pork cassoulet with rice x 2
Steamed sea bass with grilled asparagus and rice
BBQ beef with brussel sprouts
BBQ chicken with stir fried mushrooms/mangetouts
Thurs night dh's work function

Bozza · 05/12/2005 13:27

I haven't done mine. Will be doing it later on tonight but so far I have got planned in that we will be out on Saturday and having stew and dumplings on Monday. So I need to sort out Friday and Sunday and I think I already have mexican sausage pie, chilli and chicken and mushroom pie in the freezer for the days that I am working. I work on a Friday to Thursday week plan but have to get the internet order done by Wednesday at 5 so either Tuesday night or Wednesday at work depending how busy I am.

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 13:27

honeybunny - I also refuse to cook DD something different during week; it is enough of a pain that I have different. Certainly not making 3 meals some days!

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 13:28

Does anyone else never plan for weekends? I never have a clue what we are going to be doing/of we will be in etc so weekends we just make do, eat out or buy extra in.

Haven't done mine yet but will tell you some of last week (I only have to meal plan Thurs to Sunday as they are fed at Nursery Mon - Wed)

*Home made chicken nuggets, home made jacket wedges, broccoli and carrots (eaten by ds, rejected by dd except for broccoli and carrots)

*Sausage casserole with peas and cauliflower - rejected by ds and dd except for veggies

*Mixed vegetable frittata, baked beans and french bread - eaten by dd and ds, result!

*Chaing Mai Thai mince (basically a recipe involving minced beef, onion, red pepper, garlic, Thai fish sauce and slight bit of chilli) with green beans and new potatoes - rejected by dd and ds except for green beans

Sigh
