What will YOU eat for dinner tonight?

When I've been working I find it a real chore to go home and start cooking a meal from scratch. I'm looking for ideas that are quick, easy, tasty and nutritious (SP?)

Any takers?

unfortunately not "this week mostly I will be eating - bread and cheese"

(add own Fast Show Norfolk accent)

what is 'corned dog'?

Northerner · 16/10/2003 16:56

I'm assuming you mean corned beef?

This sounds like something my dh used to concoct in his student days.

Sorry DL but I know I said quick and easy, but I just can't bring myself to use smash

DP's cooking tonight - it'll proably be chicken breasts - oven baked with olive oil, lemon juice and garlic, pasta (tagliatelle) and a tomato & roasted veg sauce compliments of Mr Grossman, and then covered in fresh grated permesan. All washed down with a bottle & a bit of Valpollicella!
Don't do deserts.

Last night we had lamb chops, mustard mash, green beans, carrots and peas.

Dadslib - please tell me you're joking!!!
I mean each to his own and all that but that sounds gross!!!

Penne pasta with amatriciana sauce (made by dp - pancetta, red onions, rosemary, tomatoes, chilli, yum) and a rocket salad. And a glass of red wine.

packet mix of colman's somerset pork, mashed potato and mange tout. Actually, that's a relatively healthy meal for us these days At least it's not too horribly overprocessed food... but still convenient.

Roasted seabass with wild mushrooms, olive tapenade and salsa verde

dadslib, there was a good casserole like that posted a while ago by Tigger (who has sadly disappeared ), it was:
cubed meat (I use lamb)
cubed potato, carrot and other veg, I do green beans and courgettes,
tin of baked beans
tin of tomatoes
Cover and bake in oven for an hour.

Its very delicious. Me and the girls love it but unfortunately dp has much more Jamie Oliver tastes and won't eat it

forestfly · 16/10/2003 17:20

Right sorry, back to seabass.........

lou33 · 16/10/2003 17:25

Tc can the words sexy and fishmonger go together?!

whatsaname · 16/10/2003 17:26
