DS1 won't eat much in terms of diary stuff - bit of milk. Hates cheese with a passion. I have a theory that as a small baby (and even then a bad eater) he would eat cheese sauce, so he got it nearly every day.........hence now he things it is the devils own and won't even have it on his plate.

coddy .... yes, but if you see the "I want to resign' thread, I've certainly had my moments with him!

Carla · 24/11/2003 11:59

Pupace, I know plenty of kids eat brocolli, sigh. It's just that DD1 won't eat anything unless it's a fish finger or peanut butter sandwich.

CountessDracula · 24/11/2003 12:11

I wish my dd would come up with a less revolting way of expressing her dislike of certain types of food. Spitting onto the floor and pulling hideous faces is funny the first 200 times. Still it makes the dog happy...

lou33 · 24/11/2003 16:01

My kids call broccoli "trees". They eat it too.

codswallop · 24/11/2003 16:10

OK SO IF YOUR CHILD EATS BROCCOLI YOU MAT NOT SAY SO !!

We need a raspberry icon, or a moonie one .

jasper · 24/11/2003 16:32

Have smushed up some spinach in tonight's mince...wonder if they'll notice

tinyfeet · 24/11/2003 17:02

Strangely, DD loves broccoli. Would love it if she liked rice, tomato, green peas. She does like corn and pasta, but it would be nice she if she liked more of a variety.

lou33 · 24/11/2003 19:13

Mine like all that Tinyfeet, but ds1 hates onions and mushrooms. I end up chopping some into big pieces, and some into teeny tiny bits, so he focuses on fishing out the big ones, then hopefully eats some of the others without noticing.

codswallop · 24/11/2003 19:22

Oh lief must be tough!!

Try getting ds 2 to even eat a banana

I use onions and mushrooms in virtually everything, so there is always angst at mealtimes, does that help?

codswallop · 24/11/2003 19:34

yes and i hope you smell all oniony allthe time

I wish dp would eat banana. He is banana-phobic and won't come downstairs when I or dd eat one. Means we can't have them very often.

dd will eat olives and brocolli, but not eggs. What's wrong with egg??

lou33 · 24/11/2003 19:41

I'm going to get everyone hating me now, but the boys in particular love egg. I'll go away now and compile a list of things they don't like, and make sure it is very long.

tinyfeet · 24/11/2003 19:46

Happy to say DD also likes egg. I think egg is a perfect food in a lot of ways. Ever since DD was once very constipated - she cried when she pooed after having bananas, I vowed never to give her any more. So yes, we have no bananas!

lucy123 · 24/11/2003 19:48

tinyfeet - funny, bananas have the opposite effect on dd! (Codswallop, you may have had a lucky escape there)

codswallop · 24/11/2003 20:01
