Wednesday coley with Indian spices and rice or cous cous

Thursday onion tarts and bake beans I am making the tarts/quich type things now, and we will share a jkt potato.

Friday chiken this - which is very very tasty and so easy to make served with rice Smile and home made cheese and tom pizza for dd2

we are eating up left overs this week so not always enough left over foods for two Grin and I am not wasting food!

Littlepurpleprincess · 04/04/2011 20:00

storminabuttercup It's a recipe from Economy Gastronomy.

Fry onion and garlic in oil, then add mushrooms, chilli flakes and turmeric. Mix rice into the pan and boil, add peas and some diced tomatoes near the end.

That's summerised a bit, it's a cheats biryani rather than a proper one. Jamie Oliver does one thats a lot more complicated.

Tomorrow: burgers with no bun or chips, but with all the trimmings - bacon, cheese, mushrooms, red onion, salad, avocado etc
Thursday: trout with capers and lime butter, broccoli (have guests. Will prob have some nibbles beforehand - saucisson, tomatoes, olives, nuts)
Friday: roast sausages and butternut squash
Saturday: something from freezer - there are some duck breasts so maybe those, with veg.
Sunday; not sure, maybe turkey escalopes with pesto and mozzarella in tomato sauce.

We are low-carbing and also entertaining lots (have guests for whole of next week, for instance) and of course all they want to eat is delicious French bread and pastries!
