Cakes for BFing/postnatal haze?

SnapFrakkleAndPop · 26/02/2011 07:00

Please recommend your best cakes for BFing/the post natal period!

Bonus points for having beneficial ingredients but definitely quick to make, freezable and/or superquick to whip up, simple so baby brain can cope with them and comforting.

If the quantities are for a loaf tin that would be fab - I worked out if I make it in a loaf shape I can stack more in my freezer. If not, can anyone help me work out how to convert them? Or is it a case of hope for the best?

I am not great at baking cakes but flapjack is brilliant for bfing as oats really help your milk supply and they give you lots of energy to get you through the days and nights. There's a fab recipe on this page

Ignoramus question - does flapjack freeze?

ttp://Allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/9905/microwave-brownies.aspx this takes 5 minutes and therefore does not take up valuable freezer space.

Those flapjacks are amazing! Agree that reducing the sugar is a good move though.
