Sorry if we've already done this, but is it worth a watch? Have all last week on sky plus to watch at a "convenient moment" (whenever that is!) and just wondered what people thought?

Thanks.

I would say "Yes" - but then I love him.

Most of the meals have been really nice.

I am sure there is a thread about this in CHAT Smile

I enjoyed the shows. I've already made the piri-piri chicken with sweet potato and feta mash and it was delicious.

Much prefer Jamie's new show to Nigella's.

Glad it is good, looking forward to watching.

Bought the book yesterday. Am going to make the fish tray bake and banoffee pie on saturday night. I'm still not convinced that I'll make this in 30 minutes!

Many of his recipes come from his older books - the lemon picle and the like.

I do think he's pretty good but I still think it's a push to do all he does in 30 mins - unless you have a person to come and set it up for you - get out the processors, boards, sort out the ingredients etc.

Having said that I've adapted some of his recipes a bit - did a bbq style of his piri piri chicken which the DS' loved last night.

Rollmops · 21/10/2010 14:10

Could some kind soul please post the recipe for sweet pot/feta mash! Please!

I made Jools' pregnant pasta - blimmin' delicious!! Luckily there were leftovers so having it again tonight - yum yum Grin

yoyo · 22/10/2010 20:11

Lemon pickle was delicious stirred into rice. Much better than Nigella's lemon rice to with her Keralan fish curry. DD1 made Rogan Josh from Ministry of Food. Brilliant.

oxocube · 22/10/2010 20:15

It takes me 30 minutes just to locate the blades from my food processor which are never where I remember leaving them! Just checked the links to the show though and there are some lovely recipes.

Rollmops · 23/10/2010 19:02

Thank you, Prolesworth! Smile

mousymouse · 23/10/2010 19:08

I like to get inspirations from jamie, I*m too lazy good a cook to follow recipes. I used the balsamico in coloured rice I made the other day. soo delicious. beat marmite spaghetti any day :)

turnitup · 24/10/2010 17:17

Im making the 'Jools' pasta as we type - the sauce is amazing - I cant wait to eat it!!

DirtyMartiniOfDoom · 24/10/2010 17:20

The spinach filo pie is really, really good.

MrsColumbo · 24/10/2010 17:21

DH is watching it now and the recipes look great (although his heart really isn't in making desserts so much). Is the book worth buying, Minione?

Lougle · 24/10/2010 17:31

I have just been given the book as a late BD present from my BIL Smile

MrsColumbo · 24/10/2010 17:42

That'a good enough for me - Amazon ahoy! (I really wanted the excuse to go there)
