Flavoured alcohol/cordial ideas please

Last year I bought about 4000 (slight exaggeration, it's more like 20) flip-top bottles to fill with lots of lovely flavoured gin/vodka/any-other-alcohol-I-could-think-of or cordial for the non-drinkers (is that too boring?). I left it too late and didn't make anything so I wanted to be a bit more organised this year but I can see myself failing again if I don't get a move on.

I tried to find some sloes locally but nobody knows of any growing nearby and I'm probably too late now to find any so I need some alternatives of tried and tested home-made-flavoured-alcohol please.

I'm sure I've heard of someone adding a Mars bar to vodka but could have made it up...

Shouldn't be too late for sloes - there're still loads around by me.

I've done sloe gin and bramble brandy, which I'm leaving until next year, and today I made up what I hope will turn out as apple-pie vodka - vodka, chopped up apples, brown sugar, a vanilla pod and a cinnamon stick!

You can do Mars vodka, Rolo vodka, jelly baby vodka.....

Ooh, last year I did a christmas pudding vodka - a recipe by Bramshott from an old Christmas thread on here. Included cinnamon, orange and lemon peel, dried figs, raisins I think. I'll try to hunt out the thread.

Bramshott's Christmas Pudding Vodka here!

Thanks, I have found the Christmas pud vodka, I'm going to give it a go.

I'll keep searching for sloes - when do they finish - roughly?

Damson gin's an option of course, although they're probably over as well.

I'll ask around if anyone knows where damsons grow, thanks.

Unami - do I just chop up bits of mars/rolo/jelly baby and add to vodka?

Again too late for this year, but cherry gin/vodka is good. You really need to get the cherries when they are at that bursting-with-juice phase, though.

Made Bramshott's christmas pudding vodka last year and it was a big success.

Yes Mogs, that's pretty much it. They can come out very thick and sticky, and not looking too appealing though, be warned!

AFAIK sloes should be around for a good while yet, but I think it depends on the weather and, more importantly, the birds and when they get to them. ProfYaffle is the person you need for this!

Me again!

Unami - if you see this or if anyone else might know - how much mars bar etc do I add to how much vodka?

Also, any flavoured gin ideas with ingredients that I'll be able to find now?
