Not attention seeking, just thought I'd clear off in the proper way,

I've had some amazing things happen since I've been here, good solid friends, life changing things , which I will always be grateful for.

I don't think I'm sensitive flower, I've always been more concerned about upsetting other people than worried for my own feelings.

Having my opinions and viewpoints pulled apart or mocked I can withstand, but to be belittled by people I feel I have chatted over sometime now actually hurts my feelings, - so, after sobbing into my cocoa for the past hour I know it's time to go.

It's surprising the things that finally make you flounce, innit?

Ew to that mental image I just created.

Cheerful-cut out pics of lab puppies and stick them up all over the house and get your DS to draw daddy a lovely pic of one and put it right in the middle of the fridge.

We're about to start the pancakes. Think deliciously fluffy and not at all like shoe leather dh may have to think too if the reality's somewhat different to the dream

GetOrf · 12/02/2013 19:06

My dd broke her arm when playing rugby, and then a week later was pushed down the stairs and broke her wrist.

That was a fun few months.

She has broken the same wrist 3 more times since.

CheerfulYank · 12/02/2013 19:07

Perhaps I WILL make pancakes even though it's not a "thing" in America. I do love "things".

Good idea almost!

GetOrf · 12/02/2013 19:07

Pushed down the stairs at school. I didn't push her.

QOD · 12/02/2013 19:12

FENTON!! FENTON!! COME BACK FENTON

G'wan

HesterBurnitall · 12/02/2013 19:13

It's Wednesday morning here so no pancakes anymore Sad

Still, I'm about to cook huevos rancheros for DS birthday breakfast, with chocolate cake to round it off.

ThePathanKhansAmnesiac · 12/02/2013 19:13

Almost, oh that sounds painful, poor thing.

Maryz savoury in your house, dead posh.

Tufty you is hardcore, forgoing pancakes to defend Albion from pirates and the like.

So on your behalf I will eat a few more and think of "those in peril on the sea".

CheerfulYank · 12/02/2013 19:14

It's only quarter after one in the afternoon here! On Tuesday. It's like time travel! :o

Cheerful It's our equivalent of Mardi Gras for Lent. But being all British (and what with it being all cold and that) we don't dress up in skimpy costumes and have carnivals. Oh no - we get out our Delia recipe books and use up our fattening ingredients on a pancake fest.

wiki link here

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 12/02/2013 19:21

According to that wiki link in Estonia, they celebrate Shrove Tuesday by eating whipped cream filled buns. I'm going there next year. Grin

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 12/02/2013 19:24

There's also pancake racing

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 12/02/2013 19:24

I've killed it now, haven't I.

greenhill · 12/02/2013 19:25

Why does the first pancake out of the pan always look so awful that it gets thrown away? They tasted better than they looked anyway (scotch pancakes on the griddle are much nicer)

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 12/02/2013 19:29

I've always heard that the first pancake is like your first DC. You make all your mistakes on it and then it gets better. Grin

CheerfulYank · 12/02/2013 19:29

Of course we don't need a pup. We have a lovely sweet old boy of a dog already. And I will have DS and a 7 month old baby. And it's always freezing and snowy at Christmas here, making house training even harder.

On the other hand...

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 12/02/2013 19:31

I don't even like dogs much but after that picture I want one.

greenhill · 12/02/2013 19:32

Ditto

Hullygully · 12/02/2013 19:38

yeah but they grow

and worse

and smell of dog.

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 12/02/2013 19:40

I suppose I ought to call myself MardiGras for once today.

Hullygully · 12/02/2013 19:41

I don't mind any of that. My dear dog rolls in shit every day. Everyday a shampoo day.

But she never loses a hair.

That's key for me.
