Can you recommend a film that dp and I will both enjoy?

We're a bit of a cliche really.

I don't like loud bangem crashem shootemups or horrors.

He doesn't like costume dramas or chick flicks.

Neither of us like arthouse and tend not to go for most foreign films.

Stuff we do like: Comedies, good family action flicks, whodunnits, fun quirky stuff.

Run fat boy run is another i'm yet to see

I also really like fight club, but that is a bit bloody too.

It appears i'm quite partial to Brad and ange I think Brad's a brillant actor. Have even converted dh who used to think he was 'just a pretty boy'

Not sure where you get your films - are you on a postal service so you can get old stuff?

If you haven't seen The Big Easy I bet you would love it.
With Cyteen, I would massively recommend Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
I'm sure you'll have seen the Wedding Crashers but it's good.
All the President's Men? Ok it's my favourite film, and it's not exactly a whodunnit, more of a howcanweproveit, but hey you never know.
Flatliners - I thought it was underrated at the time?

Quite enjoyed 'Definately Maybe' recently with DH. Rom Com but not too vapid. It was nice easy sat night viewing.

Superbad was really funny too. At first thought it was a 'lets get laid and drunk' crap american comedy, but it turned out to be sweet and funny.

Wow! Lots of suggestions! Sorry to post and run, didn't mean to but the minute I pressed post my children decided to work shifts to keep me completely occupied until the small hours of this morning .

Have seen lots of the suggestions, but quite a few I haven't so off to IMDB to look things up now.
