Initially you think 'well that's 2 hours of my life that I aren't going to get back' but the more you think about how he made decisions based on his 'diagnosis' it does make you think.

'Don't settle' people!

Sophie’s Choice. It made me think about whether I could ever make such an agonising decision. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Absolutely unimaginable choice, i think it's the saddest film i have ever seen , i was a teenager without kids then , i don't think i could watch it again.

Same, I first watched it before I had children. I don’t think I could watch it again either. That scene is harrowing.

It's a Wonderful Life!

I also read 'The Greatest Gift' short story that the film is based on.

I can recommend both.

I swear. I cried so much watching it, it’s a must for anyone with chronic and complex health issues, not just Tourette’s.

Le Rafle - French film about the holocaust. Just so powerful.

Forrest Gump. My son has additional needs and although I first watched it when I was only 13 it comes back to me a lot now.

Awakenings - starring Robin Williams

I've watched this several times and it always gets to me. I don't think I will be able to watch this ever again as it brings back bad memories.

Yes, me too, to "I Swear". Such a powerful film. I cried a lot.

Toy Story 3, cried again!

It Ends With Us. Another very powerful film. My friend and I couldn't stop crying in the cinema and the poor lad, who was collecting rubbish, waited for us to regain our composure, before we could go!

The Time Travelers (sic) Wife, loved the book and the film

It's crazy to think how you might influence someone else's life. This definitely changed my outlook radically.

The Elephant Man. Wailed for days.

Watched it on a long plane journey soon after it came out and I must think about it once a fortnight, easily. Normally when I wake in the middle of the night.

Empire of the Sun. It’s unimaginable to think about being separated from your child if war broke out. Amazing film and incredibly sad.

Crash (2004 film) - lots to think about

Truly Madly Deeply - the pain of grief and the dealing with it, heartbreaking

Juliet Stevenson is phenomenal in Truly, Madly, Deeply.

The odd life of timothy green, mainly as our son loves it and when he was little it helped him understand what being adopted meant.

The rugby player, its about Mark Bingham, without him there would be fewer inclusive rugby teams, we also wouldn’t have the important Bingham Cup.

I guess learning about miscarriage of justice and the history of the troubles in Ireland. I watched In the Name of the Father and that got me into reading about the Guildford 4, Birmingham Six and others wrongly imprisoned.

Nil by Mouth with Kathy Burke and Ray Winstone. It's written and directed by Gary Oldman, inspired by his own childhood.

Ladybird Ladybird - a true story directed by Ken Loach

I couldn't get these stories out of my head after watching them.

Human Flow by Ai Weiwei. The most beautiful, heart-rending film about migrants across the world. The humanity of every single one of the people featured shines through so brightly. I watched it three times and would watch it again in a heartbeat

equilibrium = managing emotions and limiting emotions in daily interactions

hackers with jonny lee miller and angi jolie = dont trust computers

stargate = basically there could be many lifeforms in the galaxies and not all will be peace man so to speak

the recruit with colin and long kiss goodnight = you never know who you can trust

the matrix = be more than you can be

ghost ship = dont trust ghost ships

the sixth day = is human cloning possible

spy game with robert redford / swordfish = dont trust events as context is key as missing parts reshapes context

That was going to be my choice - the ending is just so sad.
