Went to see this last week, I absolutely loved it! It's only about the 2nd film I've seen George Clooney in but he was sooo brilliant. His comic timing is amazing. Anyone else seen it?

I didn't like it. Poor predictable plot. Only good thing was the scenery.
I like any old shit usually too.

Oh that's a shame CuriousMama. Funnily enough I don't usually like this sort of thing but I loved this, particularly the bickering between the 2 leads

afraid i'm with the good-god-that-was-shit crowd... and i love a rom com and have vvvv low standards! it did look pretty and was pleasant enough but what a waste really

I want to go and see it only because when I first saw the trailer I turned to DH and immediately said ‘they’ll fight the whole movie then in the end the daughter will realise she was wrong and they were right and they’ll end up getting married in her place because they’ve realised they’re really in love.’ And I want to see if I’m right.

Julia Roberts' wardrobe was very odd too,she was on an island and was wearing boiler suits.

The best bit of the film was the out takes at the end.

Good God no. I saw the trailer and it looks abysmal.
Mind you, I hated MamaMia and have never watched Strictly, so don't take my opinion on anything 😂

Agreed, absolutely terrible. I can't believe JR and GC stopped so low. Also the blatant white washing of a seaweed farmer whose family basically seemed to live on a beautiful private island?

There were some good bits though. And it's definitely an easy watch.

Also watched mrs Harris which I thought was really boring 😂

I'm with you OP I really enjoyed it! I'm a huge George Clooney and Julia Roberts fan and this for me was pure escapism in a gorgeous setting. Noone is saying it should win film of the year but it put a happy smile on my face.
