Anyone else seen it yet? I liked it. Still had Its charm! Not as much sense of danger or anything like the first but still quite fun.

Just finished it and I'm really disappointed.
Bette Midler is brilliant and that's all the positives I can think of.

They've tried to make it too jokey, the script is poor and there's none of the scariness of the original it just feels like an episode of a Disney kids show.

The 3 teenagers are pretty boring and forgettable especially the main character she never shows any emotion of any sort.

Just feels a million miles away from the original sadly.

I liked the child actors playing the young sisters. They did really well at picking up the mannerisms.

The bursting into song and the ending were a bit forced for me. Didn’t seem to fit.

Also it didn’t really make me laugh. There were one or two chuckles but nowhere near the original’s level of comedy.

I don’t think I’d watch it again until I forget in a few tears and try it again.

I love Bette, but the younger Sanderson sisters were far more entertaining.

The rest just felt so generic and sanitised - even for Disney!

Big fan of the first one. Watched the 2nd one one last night and was dissapointed, story line was weak and new characters forgettable.

I read a review that it's gone down the "misunderstood villain" route. I'm sick of that trope. Sometimes you just want baddies to be bad for badness sake.

I liked it!
I thought they connected it well to the first one and I liked the ending.

I agree the teenagers weren't great... seemed and odd combination somehow and a slightly odd story around them.

Overall I enjoyed it though.

What liked about the first was it was quite dark! Whereas this..not sure what they were doing really. The sisters were quite fun though but the others.. meh.

The singing was awkward

First one was great, can watch it every year and enjoy it. Quite scary but able to watch with DC.

This one boring, not scary. Won't watch again. Strange casting.

I just watched it, thought it was a lot of fun. Enjoyed it and laughed a lot.
Maybe not as good as first but still a good film in my opinion.

We loved it. Thought the first one was a bit shite, but that's probably because it was made in 1993 and the effects are crap.

Bette milder was amazing.

We watched it tonight, what a pile of crap! Loved the 1st one but this was bad!

I know obviously there's 29 years between the films so they have aged, but Sarah and Mary didn't even have the same mannerisms or sound much like they did in the original. And Sarah's eyebrows... and makeup was awful, she was supposed to be young and beautiful but they made her look like she was in drag.

And they were evil in the original, so why the soppy ending and complete turn around in character. Was completely unbelievable.

And the songs, they felt really forced.

Awful. We love the first here. The three kids playing the sisters and the two main young girls and the shop keeper were crap. Everyone tried to be funny and weren't. Thanks cringed at the dancing. Bette was the best.

I think Sarah's hair and weird eyeshadow was to hide her age but yes she looked daft.

They just tried a bit too hard. It was ok but there were quite a few huh moments.

like where is the wall?
why did his candy apple get taken away?
why were they singing when they came back?
why did the witch give the book when the first says it was given to Winnie by the devil himself.
i cringed at the opening scenes.

I watched it yesterday and thought it wasn't as good as the first one. I struggled to understand what Bette Midler was saying half the time, it was like she had a lisp. The bursting into song was ridiculous. I did like the young Sanderson sisters in the beginning though. And the scene in Walgreens. It went downhill after that
