If that’s “Their Finest” then I love that film, it’s one of my “comfort watch” fallbacks when I want something nostalgic.
Films that have stayed with me for various reasons:
Jacob’s Ladder - watched it at the cinema, barely understood it, was severely freaked out by it, could never watch it again.
Schindler’s List - for the obvious reasons; harrowing but such an important piece of film-making and such wonderful performances I am able to watch it more than once.
Three Billboards etc - a tour de force.
A Zed and Two Noughts - my introduction to art house cinema; I was fascinated by it at the time (and developed quite the girl crush on Frances Barber) but I think it was very much of its time and I suspect I’d find it very mannered and dated if I tried to watch it now.
Chicago - loved it so much I went back to see it again at the cinema a week after the first time, never done that before or since.
Damien, Omen II or whatever it’s called - I watched this waaay too young for horror films and scenes from it haunted me for years.
